We used to talk for hours on end,
Sharing secrets, dreams, and fears.
But now it seems we're worlds apart,
And all that's left are silent tears.
I don't know when it happened,
Or why we drifted so far away.
But now it feels like we're strangers,
And I don't know what to say.
I miss the way we used to be,
So close, so happy, so free.
But now it's like we're in a cage,
And we can't find the key.
Maybe someday we'll find our way,
Back to each other, where we belong.
But until then, I'll hold you in my heart,
And keep singing this sad, sweet song.
