"C'mon, everybody! All the food's done!" Rui yelled from the kitchen. The boys, Yao Tong, Chen Jinyang, Ai Jia, Yue, Jiao Huang, and I were all lounging about in the living room, playing board games and video games. We all jumped up, heading for the dining room in what looked like a herd of elephants from behind. I laughed to myself.
"What are you laughing at?" Jiao asked me, smiling that sweet, innocent smile of his. I smile up at his tall self. His stinken height makes me feel even shorter than I am. (A/n: Don't mind me... I'm five foot one (154.94 cm) and I don't have much hope for growing any taller. 🥲👍)
"I'm just laughing at the fact that they all looked like a herd of elephants from the back," I said, watching them as I continued walking toward the dining room and kitchen beside Jiao. He chuckled at my statement. He took my hand and squeezed it before letting go to help me get seated. Once I was seated, he took his own seat on my right. Cheng and Yue were on my left. Past Jiao were Ai Jia and Chen Jinyang. Across Yue was Fatty, to Fatty's left and in front of Cheng sat Yao Tong. Then came Lao Mao, K, Ming, and Rui.
On the table in front of us and on the counter was the meal. It consisted of turkey, ham, stuffing, rolls, cranberry jelly, mashed potatoes, corn, mushrooms, peas, several different types of salads, and there was a dessert of different types of pie. There was more than enough food to feed us all.
Cheng prayed then we all started filling our plates with as much as possible. I sat back down with all that I could eat. Jiao and the rest soon sat down and we all stuffed ourselves. The chatter was nice and warm.
I nudged Cheng's side, gaining his attention. I leaned over and whispered in his ear, "When are you going to propose to Yao Tong?" I got a sly look on my face as he blushed. The others probably couldn't tell that he was blushing, but it was as if he was an open book to me. Cheng glanced behind me then started smirking before looking back at me. I looked behind me, only to see Jiao smiling at me suspiciously. I gave him my 'what did you do?' look before turning back to Cheng.
"Well?" I pressed. He glanced at Ming and Tao Yong, blushing a little at the latter.
"Soon... soon." He huffed a small smile. I grin, turning back to my meal.
