We are almost at the end
Oh, but where do I begin
Body throbbing, gasping for life
In a world that only kills
Or fights
With all hope for passion
Our minds are fed lies
While parasitic fears eat at
Our hearts
Devour our souls
Can you really part
Body and soul?
Mind and heart?
I am just at the start
But I can see the end
This story ends the same
Not with tears and rain clouds
But with a mind and no heart to feed it
An organic robot empty of the passionate soul
Life will eat me away
And the mundane will replace whatever life I had
God, how I pray to stay
Don't let me be consumed
And left for dead
Like all the other young souls
Standing at the edge of forever
Just beginning their lives
Just beginning to kill themselves
Let life fill me with light
That overflows, dripping from my fingertips
So that I may paint the world in bright golden hues
Revive the passion, grow the soul
Don't kill it
I must remember that today is not the only day
That I will stand
Looking forward to my forever
