Chapter Fifteen

*Steph POV*

"So each time these guys want to film something you have to travel down from Scotland for the weekend and then travel back at the end of it?" Moose asked me as we continued our little chill out session with some drinks.

"Unfortunately yes, it's not an ideal commute but it's for a job that I love so much." I sighed swirling the last few drops of drink around my glass.

"'You won't be travelling so far if you just take up my offer of taking the spare room in my house." Emz said as she took my now empty glass and went to refill it along with her own.

"You know that I worry about not being able to afford the rent to start with."

"Oh shh, I told you not to worry about that until you get a job sorted. It won't change how much rent I'm already paying so don't sweat it."

"You rent your house?" Padge asked as if it was something that rarely happened.

"Yes I do. Some of us aren't world famous musicians who can afford to buy houses."

"Where abouts is home?" Matt questioned. Emz sat down next to me and handed me my fresh drink.

"I'm in a town not far away from Leicester and Nottingham, sort of between the two."

"Steph, you have to move in with her, I'll be able to drive that distance in a few hours to come visit and party" I looked to Jay and as always felt my cheeks flush. Did this mean he'd want to keep in touch for real after this weekend? My stomach fluttered with excitement at the thought.

"I'm coming along too" Matt added.

"Me three" said Padge.

"Well if you're all going don't forget me"

"That's settled then" Jay said with a smug grin and downed the rest of his drink.

"Hold up, what has just been agreed?" Emz asked as she rubbed her temples in confusion.

"We are all coming to visit you and Steph at your place, when she moves in." Jay confirmed.

"That's if I do move."

"Do it woman, you get to hang with this sexy beast that way." Jay stood and stuck a pose making everyone laugh at him. "I mean I'd still come and see you in Scotland of course, but Emz's would be much easier and I could see you more often then."

"Looks like you're packing when you get back home then" Em winked at me, before heading over to Matt and Padge who were sparking up a smoke.

"You best kick the man in your life out of the spare room then. Tell him that I need the bed now and he'll have to share with you" I teased her. Matt turned to look from me to her with a kind of shocked look.

"Oh I'm sure I can make room for him in there somewhere. You know how he likes to snuggle up."

"I thought you were single?" Matt questioned his full attention now on our little conversation.

"She is."

"But you just said she has a man?"

"Yeah she did, if you must know my man is not really a man, it's a huge Simba from the Lion King teddy. Jeesh you sound like someone else I know jumping to conclusions." Emz gave a little point at Jay before laughing.

"Time for me to be the party pooper, I'm going to love and leave you all and head to my bed" Moose said as he stood up to leave. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and noticed the time was 4:30.

"Actually I think now would be a good time for us all to call it a night. What about we all meet for breakfast at about 10 tomorrow?" I suggested also standing to leave. Everyone seemed to nod in agreement before Padge and Moose left saying their goodbyes.

"You coming to bed Emz?" I sent her a wink, she knew what I meant. Time to wind the guys up a little.

"Yup, are we going to mine or yours?" She asked.

"How about yours as its next door to this room, that way if we get scared and need the guys we can give them a shout."

"Hang on, I thought you wanted to stay in here?" Jay pointed to the bed he was still sat on.

"Nah, I'm sure we will be alright sleeping together. After all you didn't want us to stay in here in the first place." I pulled a saddened eye look. "Oh shucks, Emz I'm sorry I think I might have forgotten my pyjamas." Emz bit her lip trying to hold back a laugh as Jays mouth sort of dropped.

"No problem. I haven't got any either so looks like it'll be an undies sleep over."

"Honestly, you can both stay in here. Matt and I won't mind the no pyjamas" That's was it, Emz and I both burst out laughing.

"You are a perv." I said as I leant down to give him a hug.

"I can't help it with you being so damn gorgeous" he whispered in my ear making tingles go down my spine. I pulled away and caught my breath. I gave Matt a hug too.

"Night guys." We both said as we left the room and went next door to Emz's room. Upon closing the door we had to laugh again. "I swear Jays jaw hit the floor when you mentioned sleeping in undies." She did a sort of impression of it.

"Talking of which, I'm just going to go to my room and change into my Pyjamas and then I'll be right back." With that I went and got changed into my Nightmare before Christmas Jack and Sally shorts and tshirt set. I brushed my teeth, combed my hair and removed my make-up before going back to Emz. We usually ended up sharing a room after doing an investigation as there was no way either of us wanted to sleep alone. I knocked and entered to see that Emma had done the same and was now dressed in her 'keep calm and hide behind Daryl Dixon' t-shirt and minion shorts. We both climbed into either side of the bed before hitting the lights.

"Seriously has this weekend been real? I feel like this is some kind of dream" I said with as I nestled my head into one of the overly fluffy pillows.

"Tell me about it. Who on hell would have expected this weekend to be anything like this? Anyway, I need to ask. Any smoochie smooch earlier that you need to tell me about?"

"I can honestly say there was no smooching. There may have been a moment but nothing else."

"Spill, what happened?" Emz propped her head up on her elbow clearly wanting the details.

"As I said, it was just a moment, you know, eyes locked, world disappeared that kind of thing."

"Aww man, that is so cute. Did he not..." She was cut short of what she was saying as there was muffled talking behind the door and we could see shadows under the door. "You know if you two wanted to see anything you could have just asked us to take some photos for you." She said loud enough for them to hear and to suddenly fall silent. We both climbed out of bed and went to the door, opening it just a fraction so only or faces could be seen as we hid our bodies either side of the door. They were both in band t-shirts and shorts and had duvets in hand.

"What? We just wanted to make sure you were both ok. And to see if you needed any company." I looked to Emz and we both rolled our eyes.

"Fine you can both come in, but you're both on the floor." I said with a fake sigh and opened the door.

"Wait, you have clothes on" Jay pointed out as Emz turned the lights on to the room.

"Well spotted there Sherlock. Now hurry up. The land of nod is calling. And for the love of gods neither of you better not snore." I teased as I closed the door behind Matt. Emz had already jumped back into her side of the bed, Matt walked around and took the floor her side, and I had to climb over Jay to get to my side of the bed. "Everyone comfy?" I asked as I got myself into bed. There was a few mumbles of yes so I turned the lights out again. "Night people." I said with a small smile on my face.
