*Steph POV*

Emma and I shared a look of terror and nerves as we each picked up and camera. 'Emz, I just wanted to say that if I get killed by some Demon, or Jay, that you're my best friend, I love you, and please look after my Nemo teddy.' She laughed before giving me a salute.

'You're a muppet. Of course I will look after Nemo. You'll be fine. Just remember no freak out sessions, and if you're going to smooch make sure it's on camera so I can prove that Jay likes you, and keep sending it to your phone whenever you're feeling down.' She winked.

'You're just a perv. See ya on the other side biatch.' I turned away from her and looked to Jay who was still sat at the table, I nodded my head in the direction of the door, he got up knowing that I meant it was time to go.

'Have fun guys.' Karl called after us. I looked at him and showed him a mock smile. We clicked on our torches and made our way up the dark stairs and down the hall. 'Still looking forward to this, even after what happened with Karl?'

'You bet, I'm really excited.' I shook my head, I honestly could not understand what there was to be excited about. We entered the room, it was  large and empty, a door either side of the room, hanging over head lights, that was about it in there. Apparently the room wasn't used due to the amount of activity that had previously gone on in it. I made Jay walk in first, just in case something was planning on being stood in a corner of the room. Maybe I should cut out some of the horror films before coming to do an investigation.

I took hold of Jays hand that he had offered me and switched on the camera, holding it out and turning it to face us both. Jay scooted closer to me so that we were both visible. 'So, here we are. A big empty room of nothing.' I spoke. A loud bang came from the back of the room, kind of like I had insulted something that was there. I jumped before panning the camera round. Jay pulled my hand and lead me towards the area from which the sound had just come from.

'Can you do that again for us?' Jay called out. Satisfied that there was nothing in the room, I turned the camera back to us both. 'Do another bang like you did before.' Jay felt me tense up just in preparation for something to happen. He placed an arm around my waist holding me close to him. 'It could have been anything making that bang, maybe a door in another room.'

'It absolutely sounded like it was from in here.'

'I was trying to comfort you a little.'

'Not working' I teased.

*Thud, thud, thud.* with each thud the sound grew louder, it sounded like big heavy boots walking across the wooden floor straight towards where we were stood. Each footstep made the floor creak and groan. I gripped onto Jays arm as I turned the camera, Jay flicked on his torch and the footsteps immediately stopped. 'Alright, now I'm shitting it.'

'Hello?' I called out. *Bang* another huge bang came from the wall we were stood next to. 'Erm, Jay, whatever or whoever it is, isn't happy with us being in here.' I whispered, afraid to really trust my own voice. Next there were various scratching noises, like someone dragging their nails down a wall several times and then it just stopped, leaving the room to fall back to silence.

After the initial burst of activity, things soon quietened down. We called out in the room and talked to the camera. I had relaxed majorly thanks to Jay and his randomness. I almost forgot what it was we were doing, until a deep raspy breath sounded just behind me, like breathing on my neck and I lost it. I let out a scream and hurried to bury my face into Jays chest. 'Shh, calm down.' He tried to comfort me, but it wasn't working.

'Did you not just hear that?!' I somewhat yelled looking at him. He nodded. 'Then how are you not freaking out.'

'Cause I said that I would look after you and if I freak out how can I think clearly and do that.' Even though I was scared, I melted slightly at his protectiveness. 'I will admit that I am too scared to move right at this moment though, and I may need new undies.' He made me laugh. It was that moment our eyes seemed to lock into each other's, like nothing else that was going on mattered. He pulled me closer to him, my heart began to flutter like mad.

*Slam* The door at the back of the room slammed shut, even though it was already shut when we entered. Needleless to say this interrupted what appeared to be a moment. We took one more look at each other before quickly making our way over to the other door. Jay grasped the door handle to open it, but it wouldn't budge. He tried again. Again nothing happened. 'It won't open. It's locked.'

'No, no, it can't be locked.' I left his side and ran over to the other door, the one that had just slammed and tried the door handle. It turned slightly, but then stopped and turned the other way. My hand shot from the handle and I ran back over to Jay.  More footsteps sounded in the room, I looked to Jay before we both started to yell and bang on the door for someone to come and let us out. After a few minutes of trying the door clicked and opened, Jay pulled it open to thank whoever was there, but the Military room stood empty. We didn't stick around long before running down the stairs towards the light of the HQ room.

*Emma POV*

No sooner had Steph and Jay left the room, it was our time to head off up the attic. I mean the attic of all places, that's nearly as bad as a basement. 'Do you wanna just go and sit in my car for an hour? We'll put the camera in the boot or something to make it look like we are in the attic.'

'Come on, let's just get it done.' Matt led the way up the flights of stairs.

'Alright, but you are going in first.' We had to climb a steep set of wooden stairs in the back hallway of the building, this itself was overly creepy. The stairs lead to a small door which was the entrance to the attic. I handed Matt the camera so he could see into the dark better than by the crappy torch lights we had. 'Man it's dark in here.' I commented on the obvious upon entering the room. It was so claustrophobic it was unreal. I closed the door closed behind us both, just in case something had followed us up the stairs. I shone my torch around the room, just to check it out for myself as Matt still had the camera, there wasn't anything in there and it was set out like a regular attic. 'It's not that bad now that we are in here.' I admitted. Even though it felt claustrophobic, it wasn't that bad. We took a slow walk around the room, talking to the camera as we went. We decided to stand in the middle of the room and began calling out.

Twenty minutes passed without anything going on, we had turned the camera off and just chatted for a little while. I suddenly started to feel weird, almost like something was staring at us. I took the camera back from Matt and clicked it on, searching the room.

'You alright?' He asked in a hushed tone.

'Erm, I'm not sure. I honestly feel like there is someone or something else in here with us.' Over the other side of the room the floor boards began to moan, as if they shifted under an invisible weight. I turned the camera to us both. 'I swear that was footsteps, that's what it sounded like.'

'Let's go and sit down in the corner, and just listen again.' I nodded in agreement and followed Matt over to one of the corners. He sat down and I sat close to him next to the wall. At least then if something was going to get me it would be from in front of me. Matt seemed to flinch and look behind him. 'No word of a lie but something just blew on my neck.' A sharp one tone whistle sounded from nearby. We both stared into the camera, not daring to look around. It took a few minutes of silence before I dared to click on the torch and have a look around. We both relaxed slightly as yet more minutes passed without a sound.

'I wonder where that door leads to.' I pointed to the far side of the room, opposite to the entrance. Getting up I walked over and began to unbolt the door. The door opened and lead out to the roof top. The chill of the cold wind caught me and made me shiver. We both looked down over the railings at how high up we were. 'Ugh, we need to get back in.' I ushered Matt back in as quickly as possible, making sure to bolt the door back up. 'That was horrible. It felt like something was about to shove us off while we were looking down.'

'So it wasn't just you that felt like that then.' I shook my head. 'Should we go head down to the others? We've been in here about an hour and not much has happened.'

'That sounds like a good idea. Maybe we will have better luck tomorrow night, not in the attic.'

'Worth a try, we will have to try another room together.' He lead the way out of the attic and back to the others.
