♔Edmund
When Charlotte disappeared with Coriakin, I find my mind searching for what might be going on.
What could they be talking about?
One moment they are behind us and the next, they're gone.
We all stand inside his study for a long while. The room is circular and has hundreds of shelves that are packed with books and is filled with who-knows-what of information. On the second floor of the study, the entire wall looks like its part of the galaxy.
There are colors mixed of dark purples, blues, and black. Stars are scattered all over the sky with a few spots of white. The weird thing is that it's all moving along with a few floating books as well, but there are only certain parts of the wall that have this magic.
I look over at our group consisting of Lucy, the Captain, Caspian, and oddly Eustace. We all wander out to the door where Eustace claims to have seen the pair disappear into. I lean my ear against the door but hear nothing. I frown. Before I can comment on it, Captain Drinian speaks.
"No harm had came to ya Majesty?" Captain Drinian asks Lucy as we wait outside the door for Charlotte and Coriakin to appear again.
She gives a shake of her head, "No, of course not. You and the others were the ones who were in true harm's way."
"How could you and Charlotte have possibly
gotten taken so easily?" Eustace remarks.I turn and face him, "You have no right!"
Then I notice that someone just said the exact same thing I did at the same time, Caspian.
We both look at each other with a questioning look.
"I didn't think it was possible for there to be two imbeciles in one room," Eustace scoffs and walks back into the large room that Coriakin had originally been taking us too. No doubt to stick his nose in someone else's books.
Caspian and I ignore him and continue to stare down each other. I'm not sure what he's thinking or why he said that but for some reason I say, "Grown to fancy my sister have we?"
Caspian actually sneers for a moment and I can tell the smart remark he wants to give, but when Lucy heard 'sister' she turns right into the conversation.
"Although as wonderful as Lucy is, I find her only to be like my own sister as well," Caspian replies.
"That would explain why you were so defensive about what Eustace said and you weren't defending Charlotte at all. Aren't I correct?" I say casually.
"Listen here Edmund-"
"What have you possibly got to say to me?" I ask taking a slow step to him, an anger I've never felt before rising in my chest.
His hand tightens into a fist and he steps towards me. His brown eyes dark and deep with a certain anger I've never seen in him before.
I feel my muscles tense and tighten my own hand. We both take another step to each other, standing off at each other like two mad dogs.
You could probably smell this fight from across the ocean.
"Both of you stop it!" Lucy intervenes as she steps in front of me and the Captain takes Caspian's arm.
Lucy just looks back and forth at us shaking her head, "This is out of control! I don't know what is wrong with the two of you, but I know that Charlotte would be very upset if she saw you fighting. Now, you wouldn't want that would you?"
