Charlotte

I race away from the captain's headquarters. That pompous jerk. The nerve he has! I'm not the one who walked away, he did. It's his fault. He has no right to be angry with me. I need to clear my head.

I look around and make my way to the head of the ship where Reep and I always sit. Sure enough I find him there singing the tune he always does. I smile and sit behind him, my legs swinging above the water and my back to everyone. I can ignore him for the rest of the time. This is a big ship. I can avoid him easily.

"Ah young Charlotte, finished revisiting old feelings?" Reepicheep asks me with a grin.

"Please never bring him up again. I hate him Reep. I can't stand being near him. He infuriates me," I tell him.

"Well, how about we focus on something else then," he says and looks back out to the water, "You know the song."

"And what a lovely song it is," I tell him as we both harmonize together. He sounds better than me but you know a girl can pretend she's got a voice.

"Where sky and water meet
Where the waves grow ever sweet
Doubt not, you Reepicheep
To find all that you seek
There is the Utter East
Doubt not-"

"You both sound pretty."

Both Reep and I turn around and see Lucy standing behind us.

"Oh!" I gasp putting a hand to my heart, "You scared me."

"Thank you, Your Highness," Reep nods valiantly, "Adryad sung it to me when I was just a mouseling.
I can't divine the meaning, but I've never forgotten the words."

"What do you guys think is past the Lone Islands?" Lucy asks sounding curious yet nervous for the answer.

"Well, I've been told the furthest east one can sail is to the end of the world," Reep answers.

"That is where you can find Aslan's country," I say the same time Reepicheep does.

"Do you really believe there's such a place?" Lucy asks.

"Well, we have nothing, if not belief," Reep replies.

"I know that," I agree with him, "Battling makes you lose your hope and belief, but so long as you have it no one can take it away from you."

"Do you think we could actually sail there?" Lucy questions leaning against the wooden railing and looks out and beyond the clear Narnian waters.

"Well, there is only one way of finding that out. I can only hope I will one day earn the right to see it," Reepicheep sighs. As we have traveled together, I've known Reeps one dream, one place he wants to see is Aslan's Country. Before Aslan left us after the Pevensie's did, he told me that Eleanor was there along with her family. He said she was happy and at peace. I can only imagine a beautiful place such as Aslan's Country.

Thinking of Eleanor though doesn't make me sad anymore. It infuriates me. The conversation with Edmund comes creeping back into my mind too, which makes me annoyed. I stand up frustrated now.

"Reep, I think it's time the student tries to surpass the teacher," I tell him.

"Why don't we have a go?"
