Years later...
An eighteen year old Edmund and Charlotte walk down the quiet frosted streets of London. The couple is on their way to a welcome home dinner where Eustace, Jill, Lucy, Peter, and Elizabeth wait for the pair.
Susan and James hardly have any communication with Charlotte and Edmund because neither wanted to believe nor remember anything that had to do with Narnia. They believed it to be all a figment of their imagination. A world made up in their heads because they were young and imaginative.
Once Charlotte found Edmund, she managed to convince Edmund to stop attending school and travel Europe while they still could at seventeen. They have been on many adventures together since then and plan to do many more before their time as children must stop and they must become adults.
When Charlotte first came to Edmund's world, she was separated from him. She was alone for six months before being reunited with him again. It was all happenstance for them to find each other.
Details of her time alone remain unknown even to Edmund. She wished to not speak of that period of time because she found it to be too difficult to talk about. In her mind, it didn't matter what happened then. What matters is she finally found him.
All of the memories of the life without Edmund on Earth come flooding back to Charlotte and she stops their walk.
Edmund looks to her concerned but she tugs on the collar of Edmund's coat and brings him closer to her. Edmund, now grown and mature, smirks down at her and kisses Charlotte's soft lips.
He whispers against them, "This is the life I've always wanted," he tells her his words leaving small clouds as the warm air leaves his mouth and escape to the frost bitten air.
Charlotte smiles at him and she cups his face with her hand. She feels her love for him swell up inside of her. It fills her up to the very brim and she feels as if she could float. The boy, no, the man she truly loves is in front of her and she hopes he will always be there. Though her half-brother, Caspian, is probably long dead and has lived his own life separate from hers she hopes he had a full and happy life. She wishes that he felt the way she does now.
"We are going to be late to your siblings," Charlotte warns Edmund but neither of them make a move to continue on.
Despite the below freezing temperatures, neither Charlotte or Edmund feel cold when they are near each other.
"They can wait," Edmund tells the woman he loves and presses his lips against Charlotte's again and he pulls her close to him. A groan escapes Charlotte's lips and she sighs heavily as they break apart.
"We can't stay too long," she tells him cheekily.
Edmund tilts his head back and laughs, "No we can not," he agrees, "The earlier we get there the sooner we can leave."
"Then what are we waiting for?" Charlotte asks tugging Edmund along her gloved hand holding his own tightly and reassuringly as if saying I'm not going anywhere.
Edmund's eyes glance up at the sky and he suddenly pauses as if remembering something. Not just any something. A place that is called by one name only but holds so much.
Narnia.
He remembers the first time he had entered the country and the snow that covered the hills and mountains. As he is staring at the dark black sky, he remembers not just Narnia but someone else entirely. He searches for a name or a face but nothing comes to mind. He reaches for it and tries to grasp it but it's like trying to grab smoke.
Charlotte is looking at Edmund while he is fishing for memories. Concerned she asks, "Edmund, darling, is something wrong?"
"No, love, I was just thinking of-"
"Narnia?" She finishes as if she too had been thinking of the place she once called home.
"How'd you know?" Edmund asks surprised she knew the answer.
"I can see it in your eyes," she says their eyes locked on one another, "You aren't thinking about..." she trails off now.
The topic of Charlotte's abilities has been one they haven't been able to stop talking about. While she still has time to make a decision, neither have come up with a desirable outcome no matter what Charlotte chooses.
"No, not that. We knew someone once," Edmund begins, "She died my second trip to Narnia. I don't remember who she was."
"Eleanor," Charlotte helps Edmund without hesitating or stumbling on the name.
"How do you remember so easily?" Edmund asks turning a shade of red. He's always had a love for Narnia but lately the memories of it all have been dwindling one by one. Names, faces, and places have all begun to be forgotten.
"I've written it all down," Charlotte explains, "I purchased two diaries ever since we left Eustace and have been documenting our travels with one and was writing about my time in Narnia with the other. Everything and everyone I remember."
"Could I read it all someday?" Edmund asks in awe and is reminded again of why he chose to love this amazing woman. Suddenly it comes to him what he was trying to remember. "Elle?" He asks looking up to the heavens, "I want you to meet, Charlotte Pevensie, the woman I love."
As the last word leaves his lips, a snowflake falls from the black sky and lands on the tip of his nose. Following the one snowflake, several more continue to fall and land on the young couple.
"I love you Edmund Pevensie!" Charlotte screams up to the heaven her head tilted back and arms extended out to her sides.
"I love you Charlotte Pevensie!" Edmund shouts mimicking Charlotte's movements.
"Oy! Shut up out there!" A person from a nearby apartment yells to the couple who are now laughing as they run down the sidewalk and through the snow towards the warm cozy home awaiting for the newlywed's arrival.
So much has happened to Charlotte, more than she could ever hope for and to think the life she has now was made possible all because she fell in love with a king of Narnia.
The end

Wow, people. I can't believe I finally finished this book and the entire series. It has been a very long road and I can't thank you all enough for sticking by my side as I wrote this. Thank you for voting and commenting on not just this story but the others before! I'm not exactly sure where I'm going to go from here and when I'll start up a new story, but I couldn't have been happier with how this fan fiction series turned out for me. I'll miss Charlotte, Eleanor, and James more than I should, but wow I can't believe we finally did it! We reached the finish line at last!
Do you want to know what happened to Charlotte those six months?
Well too bad mwahaha because it will always be an eternal mystery! Who knows maybe one day I'll come back to this world and write about Charlotte's journey to find Edmund in that time. Maybe I could write it or if someone feels they were up to it then they could write it for me. I'd be open to the possibility.
I do have one last surprise. I am preparing a bonus chapter that I think everyone may be able to guess will be about. It changes the Pevensies family. Hint, basically everyone will be in it.
Thank you again for all of the comments, votes, support and views! I love all of you and your beautiful souls!
Until next time,
the Author

Fanfictionside note: Okay people here is the actual revised story from my very very first Narnia fan fic. I tried really hard to keep a lot of my main points and writing descriptions there but obviously there had to be some changes. >>>>>> Edmund, Lucy, and...
