Mike was in the woods. Bird chirping, trees blowing, and a kid making airplane sounds. He did it again. He was successfully back to the day he brother was taken. He was sitting at a picnic table, when his attention was pulled towards his father who was grilling, "How about some burger with that ketchup, hon?" Mike looked up to see his parents laughing at each other. "Everything's better swimming in ketchup, right Mike?" His mother asked as Mike himself was reaching for the ketchup.

Mike's mom accidently spilled the bottle of soda, the liquid pouring down the table. "Whoops." Mrs. Schmidt picked the bottle up and placed it back where it was, "I'm gonna go grab a towel. Go watch your brother, okay?" Mikes mom asked him before she ran off to grab a towel. "Okay." Mike replied as he looked over to his brother.

Garret was running, playing with his toy airplane. He held it high in the air and making sounds with his lips. "Garret." Mike yelled, trying to get his brother to come back towards the table. He stood up, ready to chase after him, but a bright yellow frisbee had fallen on the ground. Mike, being the nice kid he was, was going to pick it up for the people who were playing.

When he picked the frisbee up, the sound of a car's engine being started grabbed his attention. He turned towards the noise, but only to see his younger brother in the back of it. "Garret?" The car started to pull away and Mike chased after it, his heart beating rapidly. His breathing becoming panting as he pushed himself to go faster.

He was running and running. Until, he stopped. He was his adult self now. His younger brother could be seen from the back window. Mike started yelling, "Garret! Garett!". But, it was too late. He was gone. The car had sped away and Mike was awakening. He opened his eyes slowly. He looked over to the girl who was curled up into his side.

Mike pulled her closer, wanting to be comforted by her. Being in the dreams and waking up from them, knowing he can't remember who took his brother, was devastating. He wanted to find the kidnapper so bad. But another night, another dream, and the same ending.

Mike turned off the noise he used to sleep, causing Evelyn to stir awake. She opened her eyes and looked at Mike with a small smile on her face. "Morning Mike.", she said tiredly. Mike smiled back, he couldn't hold his smile away from her. "Morning Evie." The pair cuddled up closer, taking the time to get out of bed.

After a while, Evelyn got out of bed, "C'mon, lets get the day started. Abby has school and we were called in for a meeting." She turned around and pressed a 'morning kiss' to his lips. Mike pulled her closer by his hand on the back of her head. She let out a soft giggle before ending the kiss and left the room. Mike stayed in there for a little while longer. He looked at the family photo that consisted of his two parents, a young Mike, and his younger brother Garret. Finally, he got out and went to start the day, just like Evelyn asked.
