This life, I don't understand,
All my dreams they seem so grand,
Yet my actions, my past, and all I have done,
If the past shoots out the future a loaded gun,
Then all this life will be dead to me.
If I can't find that grandstand,
That one where I could stand.
Then my heart forever will moan,
I will live a half-life, every minute a loan.
A loan and debt I could never free.
This life does not belong to me.
I cannot own it, as it only builds debt.
The call to sin pulls my broken heart.
And so I follow the path to my own pitfall.
God, I don't know what to do with this life.
So I ask for a seed, a seed that might become a tree.
I ask for more than stress and fret.
Something to make anew my heart.
Something to break down this wall.
I want a life that is more than futile strife.
Oh God what can I do with this life?
I don't feel alive.
What can I do with this life?
