Oh what a surprise,
I'm broken as everyone else,
Cracked and broken shells,
You must step across to see,
My life, cut off below the knee.
I act so tall.
But someday,
I'll stagger and fall.
I'm a broken child,
I don't know what I've done.
Pretend it's so mild,
As I look into the sun.
I just don't know,
Because with my eyes closed,
It doesn't show.
I am loved,
God's love holds me.
So deserve to be shoved,
Sent down where I be-
-long
There where I,
Will never hear His song.
Yet a great sea of grace,
The perfect run of the race,
The greatest case,
For a change of face.
His life
His death
My life
I am of value,
A reflection Him,
Fill to the brim,
Project another hue.
A cup to hold,
The love of God,
To make told.
A cracked and broken,
Reflection.
In His love I can grow,
and Overflow.
Made in the,
Image of God
That is me
I am free, though chained
In His image I can choose
But we already chose,
Now only one choice.
God gave me a choice.
What will I do with my voice?
This which He gave me.
I will not be drained,
With God, nothing to lose,
I believe when He rose,
All had reason to rejoice.
And so, for today, I choose,
To surrender this noose,
This noose I have made of my life.
I am covered,
In His blood, smothered.
My stains erased.
My failures replaced.
This sheet, this life, He gave,
I have scrawled my sin upon.
I made it's end my grave.
But Jesus came and lived for me.
He lived and died for me.
Now I can live and die in Him.
And from my grave I needn't swim.
I don't have to be me,
Admit it all to be His,
In this I can be free.
And so I say, I don't want to be,
No, I don't want to be, me.
But I wish to love, and give to,
The One who loves me as I am.

Poetry/Prayers to God (2023)
PoesiaI've kept a prayer journal for the past month, and I can definitely see how it can be lyrical, I definitely won't be putting all of my prayers here, and with it being for anyone to read, it will likely focus on things less personal to my life, as we...
