'I gotta convince myself I don't want it, even though I do' - Back To You
It has been two days of suffocating silence and failed attempts in avoiding each other because they still lived under the same roof and went to the same school.
Taehyung had tried to keep himself collected the whole time because he knew Jungkook didn't deserve to see him fall apart.
From time to time, he went out with his sisters, just to kill time and be away from the Jeon residence as often as he could.
Jimin also kept talking to him every now and then but it wasn't enough to fill in the void Jungkook's presence had left. The worst was that, Taehyung couldn't stop the way his heart clenched whenever he caught glimpse of Isa and Jungkook laughing together and acting as if nothing happened. It was very unfair that only he had to suffer.
The other thing that made him feel less miserable was Mingyu's texts. Despite his constant rejections, the boy didn't give up, still texted him at early in the morning until late at night. It felt comforting to know that someone still cared for him, still asked about how his days went and what he ate for dinner.
Mingyu:
So, how about we finally meet?
I feel like you've been avoiding that for too lonnggTaehyung chuckled as he looked at his screen, he was in the middle of the class so it drew everyone's eyes on him. The teacher had shot him a glare and that was his cue to shove his phone inside of his backpack.
He already couldn't wait to reply to Mingyu's texts.
Damn this boring class!
He had to wait for one hour and a half before the bell finally rang. Once it did, he hurriedly put his books in the bag then followed the crowds of students moonwalking out of the classroom.
Ari was already waiting for him outside of the building, their father had recently hired a chauffeur to drive the girls home because he has been too busy, and since Hyungshik couldn't find out, Ari suggested that Taehyung ride with them.
It was also convenient for him because being in the same car as Jungkook would be another mental torture.
The twins waited for Sana inside of the car, the youngest was still kissing goodbye to her girlfriend, which by the way was disgustingly so cute.
"So, who are you texting?" Ari promptly asked when Taehyung just opened his message box and was about to type an answer to Mingyu.
"Just some guy I met at a party" he vaguely answered as he typed on the keyboard, not noticing that his sister was peeking at his phone.
Idk. Pretty busy this week...
Even the weekends?
Pls, you won't regret it!Why do u even want to see me again?
Didn't I make it clear enough that I like you?
"He seems pretty serious" Ari commented and Taehyung quickly pulled his phone out of her sight. "What? I'm just a little curious. He's nice, haven't met him yet but I already prefer him over your stupid Jungkook"
"My what? Jungkook's not mine!" Taehyung suddenly uttered. "And you should mind your business!"
"I can't really stay out of it because I'm always the one who picks the broken pieces" Ari nonchalantly retort. "I think you should forget about Jungkook. He's clearly playing with you"
