Chapter 19

'But loving you had consequences' - Consequences.

Taehyung was doomed.

He should've known it the very first time he lied eyes on Jeon Jungkook but he was too oblivious back then. If he could go back to that day, he didn't know if he would've just walked away from the new boy, he knew deep inside of him that he would've done the same mistake over and over again.

It was really frustrating because his sisters, Jimin, and even the sane part of his brain had told him to stay away from Jungkook for the sake of his mental health but the dumb and impulsive side of him couldn't really listen to them.

Chasing after Jungkook had always been the most thrilling part of his days and getting rejected more than once were for sure heartbreaking but it didn't stop him for loving the stupid Jeon Jungkook.

One day, Jimin had pointed out that he was in love with Jungkook and he was so quick to correct the latter but these days, after the romantic movies he had watched, he could say that what he was feeling, was very close to what they call 'stupid love'. Either way, stupid or not, it was still love and even if Jungkook couldn't reciprocate his feelings, he couldn't just erase them from his heart.

Falling in love with Jungkook and getting his heart broken for the first (millionth) time, might be an experience he would never forget.

He walked back into the Jeons house- where everything had started-head low, face red and tears streaming down his cheeks. He didn't even know why he was crying. Even back in the bus, everyone had given him worried looks but he couldn't really care about them, all he felt was the continuous pain in his chest.

"Are you crying?"

He halted on the spot when he recognized Jungkook's voice. He should've wiped his tears away because they weren't meant for Jungkook to see but he couldn't even move his hands.

"What did that bastard do to you?" Jungkook's voice were laced with venom but also a bit of worry. He made his way towards Taehyung and instantly reached up to cup the boy's face. "Are you hurt? Tell me w-"

"Mingyu... didn't do anything to me" Taehyung weakly managed to pull away from the warm touch. "If you want to find someone to blame then look at yourself in the mirror"

"What?" Jungkook gave a skeptical glare.

Taehyung wanted to scoff.

"I'm crying because you fucking broke my heart and I might've tried to move on, to get back on my feet but your stupid face appears everywhere I go!" He bursted out, he really didn't care if Jungeun could hear them, he didn't give a damn about anything else. "You-Jungkook, you're the first person who made me this miserable! Even my cruel father couldn't break me the way you did!" There, he said it.

"Please, I... don't say that. Tae, you know I'm sorry"

Sorry?

"You think that your sorrys will magically fix this?" Taehyung angrily snapped. "You made me feel like I was an idiot! You could've just rejected me the very first time but NO, you decided to play with me, with my feelings, then yelled at my face that you didn't wish to be my boyfriend!" by the time he finished, he found himself completely breathless.

"I was scared!" Jungkook quickly said. "I was scared. I know it's stupid and not even a valid excuse but, please, I'm really sorry, I promise to be better and never hurt you again" when Jungkook had kneeled down in front of him, Taehyung's brain might've stopped working. "I'm begging you, please, I know I won't even manage to repair the damages I've caused but give me a chance, I might not deserve it right now but please"
