Chapter 19: Ceremony and Gender Reveal

Loyd scooped Iza in his arms and twirled her about before landing a kiss on her lips. They were both excited about this engagement.

They called an early morning meeting for the staff. Everyone was gathered in the dining room, Loyd and Iza both stood at the head of the table. Shining smiles adorned their faces as they announced their engagement. The staff roared with cheers and congratulations.

In no time at all Loyd put everyone to work on preparing their wedding ceremony. They decided to make it a small gathering of just the household, Iza was insistent that she didn't want an extravagant wedding. Loyd sighed, wanting to shower her in luxury and a large fancy wedding but gave in to the request as he wanted Iza to be happy on their big day.

Violet and Loyd whispered about in his office, as Iza walked in. The two of them quieted as they noticed her approach. Iza with a suspicious look on her face asked,

"What are you two up to, being all secretive?"

Loyd cleared his throat and waved Violet out. Violet bowed to the two of them and made her way out with a devilish grin on her face.

"Do I want to know?"

"It's nothing to worry about, I just have a surprise for you on the day of the ceremony is all."

Iza slid onto his lap and wrapped her arms around Loyd, landing a kiss on his forehead.

"You're so sweet, you ready for lunch?"

Loyd replied with an eh.

The last few weeks flew by and before they knew it was the day of the wedding.

Iza was nervous and excited at the same time, the Camilla of the house helped her dress in a simple off-the-shoulder ball gown style dress. The fabric flowed effortlessly across her body and was even able to hide the small bump coming in.

Rose and Lilly worked as a team to put Iza's hair into soft curls before braiding it and pinning gems and flowers within. Followed by Veronica adding a dash of makeup to her face.

The kitchen crew was fast at work making dishes for the house after the wedding and supplying an ample number of snacks for the bridal party as they got ready. The estate crew had been working on decorations and flower arrangements for the last few days, making the house saturated in the aroma of flowers.

The bridal party left Iza to make sure Loyd and everyone was in position to start the ceremony.

Florian on a violin and Blaze on a Piano played the introduction music. The music began to play, and Loyd was speechless as he saw Iza step foot on the carpet leading to him. By the time they were joined at the altar both of them had shed a tear or two.

Loyd took Iza's hand into his and spoke his vow, a small stream of tears leaking from her eyes at his touching words. Iza pulled away and tried to dry her face apologizing to everyone before taking Loyd's hands into hers and speaking her vow.

Lupin wrapped their hands in a soft white cloth, and announced,

"As the witness to this union, may your lives be tied for now until forever. Please seal your vows and this promise with a kiss."

Without hesitation, Loyd took Iza by the waist and dipped her down in front of him allowing him to get a greedy deep kiss in.

Tears and cheers rang out from the onlooking group.

Loyd and Iza made their way into the dining room for the reception with the party guest behind them.

Dinner was served quickly, and bellies began to fill. Laughter and stories flowed through the room. Iris got the attention of everyone and announced that the cake was on the way. A minute later a two-tiered cake was wheeled in by Blaze and Gordon.
