The night air was thick with tension as Jimin continued knocking at Lucia’s door, each knock heavier than the last. His hand clenched around the handle, his patience wearing thin with every passing second.
Finally, the door creaked open, revealing Lucia in her pajamas, her hair loose and slightly disheveled from just waking up. Her eyes widened as she saw Jimin standing in front of her, his presence as overwhelming as ever.
"Jiminshi, what are you doing here at this time of night? Is everything alright?" she asked, her voice laced with concern.
"Yes, everything is fine," Jimin answered curtly, his tone colder than it had ever been. Without another word, he stepped inside her house, pushing the door open, leaving Lucia no room to protest.
She blinked in confusion but said nothing. Her heart began to race as she instinctively followed him inside. She turned to shut the door, but her breath hitched in her throat when she saw him standing there, his gun now pointed directly at her forehead.
Lucia froze. Her eyes widened with terror.
"J-jimin? Why this—?" her voice trembled.
Jimin’s gaze was cold, hard, like the barrel of the gun pressing against her skin. He didn’t let her finish.
"Why did you and Taehyung send detectives to spy on me, using Y/n?!" he demanded, his voice seething with fury.
Lucia’s face paled. Fear drained the color from her cheeks. Sweat began to form on her forehead as Jimin stepped closer, pushing the gun slightly harder against her skin.
Her back hit the door, trapped. There was nowhere for her to go.
Jimin leaned in, his breath hot on her face. He pressed the barrel into her forehead. His voice dropped to a whisper, barely above a growl.
"Tell me the truth before you die, Lucia," he said, his voice like ice. "You know, if you tell the truth, maybe you’ll go to heaven. Otherwise, you deserve to go straight to hell at my hands."
Lucia’s body trembled. Tears welled in her eyes as fear consumed her. Her breath was shaky, almost non-existent. She swallowed hard, her lips quivering with the weight of what was to come. She knew she had no choice.
"O-okay... I’ll tell you," Lucia stammered, tears threatening to spill.
Her body shook from the weight of her fear—fear of her impending death or fear of Jimin himself. Either way, the truth seemed to slip out of her like a confession from a woman who knew her life was on the line.
"That night… when you went to dinner with Y/n… and I saw you kiss her… I couldn’t bear it." Lucia’s voice cracked, her hands trembling as she wiped at the tears falling down her face.
"After you dropped me off at my house, I watched you leave with Y/n. But I didn’t go inside… I went straight to Taehyung’s mansion and—"
FLASHBACK:
The night had been supposed to be about celebration. It was supposed to be about their first month as a married couple. But that moment when Jimin kissed Y/n, Lucia saw it all. The jealousy had burned deep in her chest, filling her with rage.
She had told herself she would be fine—she would just let the moment pass. But she couldn’t. The sight of Jimin with Y/n, so close, had consumed her. She couldn’t shake the image from her mind.
After Jimin dropped her off at her house, he drove away with Y/n, leaving Lucia standing there, feeling betrayed. That’s when she decided to take matters into her own hands.
Instead of returning to her home, she went to Taehyung's mansion. She knew about the rivalry between Jimin and Taehyung—a rivalry that had become more than just business. It was personal.
