"I thought we were going to use the Governor's Ball? What other way can we use that he would trust?" Giuseppe asked as Regenia continued to look over whatever she saw on the screen, which caused Xavier and Elias to look at him confused. Giuse felt the same because his wife wasn't sharing her findings. She needed to share this besides sitting there as if she had said nothing about Berardo. "Regenia—"

"He will never fall for the Governor's Ball because he knows we will be there with backup."

"She's right. Berardo is the type of person who would kill himself rather than letting one of you kill him. Your wife is right. We need another way to make him show his face. One that doesn't have Romano set up written all over it." Giuseppe didn't think about it that way. Berardo knew he didn't have the power to take him down. Therefore, he wouldn't show his face no matter how much he wanted to. They needed something he wouldn't expect, and it seemed like his wife knew how.

"Okay, then, what do we need?"

"Isaac... Berardo doesn't know we have him on our side. We need to have him reach out to him—"

"I don't know if I like that idea," Hakeem said, making Arianna elbow him in the side. Giuseppe understood his thoughts because he felt the same. They knew very little about Isacc other than Regenia arrested him, and he was her mother's so-called brother. The man seemed fishy to him, but he seemed to hate Berardo. Most of the time, that's all they would need; this time, Giuse needed to learn more about him before letting him in on a plan. It only took one time for someone to cross him, ruining his trust in anyone new to him. "I need..."

"I'm on it." Elias quickly spoke while Hakeem and Regenia looked at each other, and then the young man swiped over his MacBook keys. Neither knew too much about the Köhler family, but the younger generation knew a bit of everything. They were skilled killers, hackers, and more. "Isaac isn't known to double-cross. I would say he's a small-time gangster, but that would be a lie. He's New York's Kingpin and was close to becoming a Don until he trusted Berardo. He led the case early last year, leading to his arrest, but Berardo doesn't know he knows. Meaning this is the perfect idea."

Regenia's head tilted with a heavy sigh while Giovanna moved in her arms. "Everything I did as a policewoman and detective had something to do with Berardo. I wonder if my Dad knew." Again, she sighed, lifting their angel to her shoulder and rocking her. Giuseppe knew this was hard on her because it seemed like everything she did had Berardo's name all over it. He hated to say it, but his cousin ran New York until he came, which caused the man to lose his marbles. All he had to say was he wanted New York, and Giovanni Jr would have given it to him. Instead, he had to act like a big child crying over spilled milk.

"Uccellino, think about all the good you did during that time—"

"There wasn't any good Giuseppe. Berardo controlled everything I had done. All of the drug busts I've done were because of him. I feel like he was training me... training me to be his."
