In his deep slumber, Kataklysm was living the last events in a loop. Nothing more natural, since those were the most fascinating and traumatizing experiences he had for a long time. And at a moment, he gained consciousness. This can happen right before waking up, or just by a sheer amount of luck. Or in this case, bad luck, because he was in front of the woman he feared the most in his life.

-Why are you haunting my dreams?

-Last time was not enough, was it ? This is NOT a dream.

-I know it's not a dream, I'm... aaargh, you know what I meant.

-Please, enlighten me.

Kataklysm took a second to gather his thoughts. After all, the environment wasn't really helping to keep his head clear : the meadow was still there, even though it was more or less distorted.

-I'm dreaming, all right ? And I know that the world I will wake up to... even though it pains me to say it... is the reality.

-Oh, do you really think so ? she said with a grin.

-Stop making me doubt myself, you're not that woman ! You're just the part of her I can fondly remember. Everything you do is improvised crap made up by my brain!

-What makes you think that I didn't use some magic to introduce myself inside your dreams?

-Jokes on you, it doesn't matter if you really are here, because I know all the tips and tricks to wake up. For example, If I blink up-

As he was about to close his eyes, that strange feeling came back again. He couldn't close them up, and soon, his eyes were stuck into the ones of the vampire. She started to walk forward, exactly the same way she did last time. And her expression was made of that same sadism as the night before.

-Even if I wasn't sentient, I would be a fool to not take more of that delicious blood!

-Non, c'est d'la triche ! (-No, that's cheating !) he said without thinking of why it would be relevant in this situation.

Her hypnotizing eyes were so close to the human's one that it was utter torture not closing them.

-I'll make this dream a NIGHTMARE just before you wake up, I'll savor EVERY drop of your vital fluid, I'll enjoy your SCREAMS of terror, and there's NOTHING you can do to stop me!

With one hand, she raised it and scratched the eyes of Kataklysm perfectly, just like before. Kataklysm didn't even have time to hear his own screams that he felt someone shaking him up. He tried to open his eyes...

But he closed them immediately as if they burned from the outside. He gasped as if he'd just come close to a panic attack. To his left, he felt some reassuring hands onto his arm and his chest.

-Are you alright ? Can you hear me?

-Yes, yes, yes ! I'm fine... I'm fine now.

-Your body was full of spasms. I tried to wake you up as soon as I could, but you just were still sleeping.

-You did well. You woke me up at the good moment, thankfully.

She released her grip on him and standed tall on her seat. Sophia was wondering why his hair was still white, but she wouldn't dare to ask a possibly private question. Instead, she focused on what just happened.
