Harris took a step back, hearing his heartbeats as if they're right by his ears. His vision suddenly became blurry, as Kataklysm started to become less and less distinguishable. A voice coming from everywhere at once suddenly caught up with him.
-It's okay, I got you!
Indeed, he felt Kataklysm's reassuring limbs held him upright, and his vision quickly returned. Then he felt an excruciating pain in his ribcage. He didn't dare look, even though he didn't have the strength. The human was watching him from all sides, his eyes panicking.
-Holy shit... Harris, talk to me, how do you feel?
-Like... What the hell happened?
-Don't ask questions, I'll get you out of this mess.
As he winced and moaned, he felt Katakylsm's strong arms pull him back a few steps. He felt a brick wall just behind him, and dropped to the ground. Legs sprawled out, he breathed, his head spinning.
-What the fuck's going on?
-You just took a stray bullet pal, he lied.
-You're... Is that it?
-It's more complicated, but we don't have time. You really need to hold it together until-
-Hiiii!
Kataklysm heard this suraing voice to his right. Just then, the Princess approached with a few curious students, as well as Lanney. Ami leaned across Harris's legs, while the brown-haired girl gnawed her nails.
-But... What the hell's going on here, Kataklysm?
The human in question didn't know what to say. Or what to do ! He was leaning over a living being that had been shot, a living being that probably had NO anatomical similarities, and no responsible adults to deal with the situation ! With a trembling voice, he pointed to several people at once:
-N-no time to lose ! Ami, you... Ami, you stay here, I need you to look after Harris at all times, it's essential to keep him awake. L-Lanney, I need you to go and find some more people. Doctors, or teachers, or people who can handle this kind of crisis. Oh, and a first-aid kit might be nice!
-A first-aid kit ? What's a first-aid kit?
-Never mind ! Go get the people, and hurry up. Same goes for the rest of you, he shouted, pointing at the other students!
They set off without hesitation in the direction they'd just taken, while Kataklysm returned to Harris's side. His skin was taking on a slightly more yellow hue than usual, which was not a good sign. He placed the back of his hand on his forehead, and felt the warmth emanating from it.
-You're burning up ! Are you doing that on purpose or...
-No, I'm just... How do I look?
As he finished his sentence, he coughed in front of him, shaking with the movement. A small stream of blood trickled from his mouth, but he wiped it away with a tired gesture.
-Don't worry, I'll be alright.
-Stop talking ! Can't you see it's only getting worse ? Let me handle it, you've got nothing to worry about...
With a grunt, he let his head press against the wall. As for Ami, she tended to the area around the wound through the cloth, which continued to bleed. Kataklysm brought his hand close to the source of all the blood, but Harris cried in pain.
-Aaargh, it hurts!
-Whoops, my fault.
-Bloody awful, isn't it?
