One step after another, he slowly made his way through the ravaged party zone, which was slowly getting crowded by staff members, soldiers in red armor or even firefighters of some kind seeking some unlucky people left behind. He realized that if it wasn't for Ami's grip walking beside him, he'd have fallen on the ground in a few seconds due to exhaustion.

-I... I need...

-Hmm?

He couldn't even finish his sentence, and weakly pointed toward a bench undamaged about 20 meters forward, not far from the gathering of guests. The Princess understood what he meant, and practically guided him toward it. Once they were close enough, he sat down and let his burning feet take a breather.

-'Aright ? asked the Princess.

-Yeah, he said while nodding.

He was lying to himself a little, as his head turned in all directions slowly. His gaze wandered off into the distance, watching the mass of people who wanted compensation, explanations, anything. Then he felt a sharp pain on his forehead, on the side where he was bleeding. He straightened up a little, and rubbed the wound.

-Damn it... Can you help me, please?

-Ya!

Complying, she casted a healing spell on the wound and Kataklysm gritted his teeth. He felt the blood boil, but knew it wouldn't last. He closed his eyes, his head bent over the bench. And without realizing it, he began to fall asleep, but not without saying a last word.

-Thank you... Ami...

-Sir, for the fourth time, if you could please get up, that would really make my job easier.

Kataklysm opened his eyes while letting out a groan. To his right, Ami wasn't there anymore. She probably left by herself toward the Castle, since it was now very late. The man in his thirties talking to him, with his butler's outfit, hands behind his back and a look mixing laziness and duty, seemed in a real hurry to get rid of him.

-M'oui ? (M'yes ?) said the human, his eyes half-open.

-Everyone's got to go, the party's been canceled.

He nodded towards the entrance, and Kataklysm noticed that the guests were indeed filing out of the property. How long had he been dozing ? Has his wound healed ? Had Ami arrived safely at the Castle? He hoped so. Stretching, he stood up and left, smiling tiredly at the man.

-Have a pleasant night, my good sir.

No reply. The Teoran was too eager to finish his hours to hold him back. Kataklysm, staggering with hesitant steps, continued towards the exit. As he got in line, he realized he was feeling much better. Less exhausted, that's for sure. He laughed under his breath, just thinking about the events of the evening. It had gotten so out of hand, and yet, he'd made it out alive!

But he quickly pulled himself together, because the line was moving fast. Under the tent, there was Electra, her dress wrinkled, her hair twisted, and her eyes glistening with dried black tears from the make-up. She glared at Kataklysm, showing her anger with a few flashes of lightning.

-You bastard, you've ruined my party!

-But I helped limit the damage!

-I know, I got the security chief's report. But apart from the giant robot, I know you were in the vault. What did you do there?

-Nothing, he said lyingly.

She pointed a trembling, stressed finger at him.

-If you ever took anything...
