Elaine froze when she saw Draco there. Theo stood up, walking in front of Elaine to protect her in case Draco did anything crazy.
"We found this when I was drunk at the party, total mistake," Theo says.
"Yet here you are again. Why didn't you tell me you found it Theo? I would have made sure she couldn't get in again."
"Didn't think you'd appreciate any snooping around."
Elaine was a little confused, it seemed like Draco was only trying to keep it from her and not Theo too.
"I don't, I would've expected you to tell me anyway."
Elaine steps forward then, "I don't know why you have all of this. If this gets in the wrong hands it could ruin literally everything."
Draco looks at Theo and then back to Elaine. He walks a few steps closer to Theo.
"Well McCracken, what if I told you it was already in the wrong hands?"
Theo moved again, subconsciously shielding Elaine from what Draco was about to say. He was almost fearful of it.
"Draco, do not."
"The wrong hands, meaning you? Where did you even get this stuff?" Elaine needed to know.
"Not me, I don't need to read this stuff anymore. As for where I got it, when the Death Eaters got locked away they sent all of their stuff to the house to be stored away. The house has been in the Malfoy family since the beginning of time. So, now it belongs to me, along with everything in it."
Elaine was more curious than ever now. She also processed what he said a few times, and the main thing that stuck out to her was the first sentence he said. Anymore.
"You already know all of this, don't you?"
Draco simply nods, letting Elaine continue.
"You both do, that's why you didn't mind so much that Theo was in here. Do you know what my father has to do with any of this? I know he was a Death eater but really, what was he doing?"
"Elaine," Theo says before Draco can. "I think we should get out of here."
"Not until one of you tells me something! I'm so confused."
"The reason I didn't want you in here was so you don't get into the dark magic as well. I was just protecting you, everyone in the house already knows a lot of this stuff" Draco says quietly.
"Why do you know all of this stuff?"
Theo was uncomfortable, he never wanted to hear the next words out loud ever again but Draco speaks.
"Theo and I were Death Eaters so It came with the territory. The girls had Death Eater parents, taught them a few things too."
Elaine nods, "What about Blaise?"
Theo sighs, "He got involved simply by being friends with us. We told him to distance himself but he wouldn't. He's one of the most loyal people we know."
"I knew I liked him for a reason" Elaine mumbled more to herself than to them.
"I think that's enough for today" Draco says, moving to usher them out of the door.
"Wait," Elaine makes the two stop in their tracks. "What did you mean by the wrong hands?"
Theo gulps, he didn't think Elaine would ask so many questions, questions that would expose him.
"That's for Theo to say, not me."
Theo rolled his eyes at Draco, he was not very helpful sometimes.
