27-Finally

1 month later

Elaine had just come back to the house after visiting her mother. Rose McCracken was doing well and was almost a whole month sober. Ralph didn't go with Elaine, he was at the park with the Greengrass sisters. Elaine decided she was fine with it because she didn't want Ralph to see their mother until she was back to her old self. She just wanted him to be a kid and only worry about kid stuff. 

They would all reunite when the time was right.

Right now, Elaine stood in the kitchen drinking some orange juice while Blaise made some sort of sandwich from next to her. 

"Theo gets out today," he reminds Elaine.

"I know Blaise I'm counting down the seconds until I get to see him again."

"When are we leaving again?"

"As soon as Ralph and the girls get back, then we'll head out. Draco is meeting us there, he's out to lunch with his mother". 

Blaise nods, sitting down at the kitchen table. Shortly after Pansy walks in, planting herself in Blaise's lap. The couple watches Elaine quietly. She was humming lightly to herself, looking happier than she has in the last month. 

It took Elaine at least two weeks to start acting like herself again after Theo left. She even suffered silently through Christmas, trying to stay upbeat for her little brother. 

The whole house was very concerned, and everyone took care of Ralph when Elaine was struggling. Not that they minded, the whole friend group loves Ralph. Ralph also loved being around everyone, he loved the attention and the little treats they would get him here and there.

Elaine tried her best, but she kept thinking about Theo and how he was alone in the one place he never wanted to be. Today however, she was in a great mood. She gets to see her Theo again. 

As soon as Ralph ran through the door, Elaine grabbed her jacket. She was eager to go to the ministry, where Theo had been brought to about twenty minutes ago. 

"Let's go, let's go, let's go," she says excitedly. 

The Ministry of Magic was chaotic on this specific Saturday,  the whole group had to weave around several people, Elaine keeping a grip on Ralph's hand. When they finally made it to where Theo was, they had been stopped outside of the room.

They had met up with Draco at that point and then the guards there checked in all of them one at a time, making Elaine more anxious. She just wanted to get her man back. It was hard for her to even stand still. 

"Alright, one of you can go in first. We don't want to overwhelm him," the guard says to the group.

"Elaine," Draco mumbles out, taking Ralphs hand so his sister could see Theo. 

Elaine nods a steps forward, following the guards through the now open door. As she walks through, the door closes behind her.  Elaine stood there while they bring Theo out, and her world stops. He really was beautiful.

Theo looked fairly similar to what he looked like a month ago, except now his facial hair had grown in a little. Elaine looked more exhausted than she had a month ago, that was what Theo noticed immediately. He figured she was lacking sleep like he was.

"Hi beautiful," Theo says through tears.

Elaine runs to him, basically tackling him to the ground in a bear hug. 

"Merlin I've fucking missed you," she mumbles out, her voice being muffled by Theo's chest.

"I bet I missed you more, I love you so much".
