4 years later

Theodore Nott and Elaine McCracken got married. They had the most beautiful ceremony with all of their friends, and the family of theirs that was left, happily. Ralph was the ring bearer too. The couple had been engaged for two years before their wedding. They wanted to plan the perfect day, that and a positive pregnancy test threw them through a loop.

About three months after Theo had proposed, Elaine found out that she was going to be a mother. When she told Theo, he was the happiest he had ever been. 9 months later, Elaine gave birth to their baby girl, Eleanor Josie Nott. Everyone called her Ellie for short.

A week after Ellie's first birthday, Elaine and Theo were married.

On the last day of their honeymoon, they were very excited to get back home to their daughter and all of their friends.

"What if we gave Ellie a brother?" Theo asks.

"We might not even have to try after last night," Elaine smirks at him.

"True, " he smirks back. "Anyways, I miss my little princess," Theo whines.

"So do I, not that she cares  though".

Ellie was 100% a daddy's girl and had no problem showing that to her mother.

"Of course she cares, she loves you. She just favors me a little more," Theo says softly.

Elaine groans, continuing to pack her bags to go back home. Theo wraps his arms around her waist from behind.

"Oh my beautiful wife, don't be upset".

"I'm not upset," Elaine tells him. "I just hate that we had to leave her".

"I know but you deserve this honeymoon, and I managed to marry the hottest woman on this planet so I think I deserved it a little too".

"You deserve it, you helped me make the cutest baby ever," Elaine half jokes.

Theo chuckles laying a deep kiss onto his wife's mouth.

Ralph McCracken loves his niece. He stayed with his mother the entire week that she was taking care of baby Ellie. He watched out for her. So, when his sister and Theo got back, he was reluctant to let her go. Theo and Elaine promised him that he was able to visit her at their house whenever he wanted.

Pansy, Daphne, Draco, Blaise, and Astoria all stayed in the house of emerald serpents. They felt that it was truly where they belonged for now. However, the whole group would walk down the street to visit baby Ellie and their favorite couple at least once a day.

Ellie loved all of the attention, and stayed being spoiled by her aunts and uncles but especially by her dad. When little Theodore Blaise Nott came along a year later, everyone loved him just the same.

Ralph made frequent visits to see his niece and nephew in between his classes at Hogwarts. Ralph had been put into the Slytherin house, were he followed the footsteps of some of his favorite people.

Rose McCracken became really good friends with Narcissa Malfoy and they often watched over their grandchildren together, once Draco and Astoria had their own. Everyone in the friend group loved having  them both around. Theo loved it more, it was almost like his mother made sure he had extra support from beyond the grave.

One night Theo and Elaine were house sitting while their friends were on vacation. Their now toddler children were fast asleep in one of the extra bedrooms, as the couple sat on the couch reading in each others arms.

"You know what I love?" Theo ask his wife.

"Me?"

Theo rolls his eyes playfully, "Well yes, but not what I was going to say".

"Sorry, what is it?"

"I love that this place still feels like home even though we've made our own".

"I've noticed that as well, this house really did welcome me with open arms".

Theo sighs contently, "This house is part of the reason we're together".

"A huge part of the reason," Elaine agrees.

"I think we would've ended up together anyway".

"Ah, you do?"

"Of course," Theo says. "I always thought you were beautiful, it was only a matter of time before I did something about it".

"Well, isn't that sweet".

"Well, you're the sweet one".

Elaine giggles, hitting Theo on the chest lightly. He leans down to kiss her on the top of her head.

"I love you Elaine Nott," Theo says to Elaine lovingly.

"I love you Theo Nott".

This is all they could ever want. They are married and deeply in love. Their adorable children were asleep and safe, always looked after by their family. They had a home of their own, and their second home, the one they sat in currently.

Elaine and Theo sat quietly by the fire and continued to read. They were deeply in love, in the house that started it all. The House of Emerald Serpents.
