March through June went by faster than anyone could have imagined. Theo had begun going to classes again, meaning he was on track to graduate at the end of the month. Elaine was happy that he started acting fully like himself again. Blaise and Draco liked having their best friend back to normal.
"Astoria, just told me her and Draco are official, finally!" Daphne announces to everyone, as they were all in the living room of the house.
"Damn, didn't even let me tell you guys first," Draco mumbles out.
"It's ok Dray, we all kind of knew", Elaine tells him. "I'm happy for you both".
"Thanks, McCracken".
The whole group broke out in murmurs, congratulating him. He just thanks them and blushes lightly.
"This whole place is coupled up except for me," Daphne says in a dramatic tone.
"You have men falling at your feet Daph, you just don't like any of them," Pansy tells her.
"So, you're saying it's my fault?"
"No, I'm just saying you're very picky. You'll find someone one day," Pansy shrugs.
Daphne rolls her eyes but appreciated that they were trying to make her feel better.
The group was feeling particularly restless today, seeing as it was so nice outside. However they had classes for the rest of the day, and it was only lunch.
"These taste extra good today," Blaise groans.
"I might miss the food here," Theo tells the group.
"I know," Elaine whines. "We only have two weeks left".
At the beginning of the school year, Elaine had no idea if she would even be welcome in the house but now her friends can't see their lives without her. She also couldn't have imagined her relationship with Theo and how important he could become to her.
"It's so weird, I still have time left here but it will be without you guys, and I don't love that," Astoria says leaning on Draco.
"It's not like you won't see us you can aways come by the house," Blaise laughs.
"What if we skip the rest of the day?" Elaine suggests quietly.
Theo looks at me with a smirk, "You want us to skip? I'm afraid we've corrupted you".
"She is a Slytherin mate," Blaise reminds him.
"I just think I need a day away. I figured you all would be on board".
"Oh, I am," Pansy says getting up.
"Let's go," Theo says excitedly.
The whole group gets up and heads out of the great hall quickly. The girls all giggling slightly. It felt like they were little kids running around. They all make it down past the Black Lake where they were sure no one would find them.
There was a small meadow there, where the group settled. Blaise and Draco were shooting spells off into the distance, seeing who was better at every spell. Elaine leans her back into Theo's chest as he wraps his arms around her.
"You know you're my favorite person ever, right?" Theo asks her quietly.
Elaine blushes a little, leaning up to kiss his jaw. "I know, you're mine too".
"Good".
"My pretty boy," Elaine giggles.
Theo makes an unholy sound under his breath.
