In another part of the Isles, Skara had entered the hospital room with Cat in it.
"Hi, Cat." Skara said.
Cat turned towards Skara, having not seen her for some time since she "somewhat" drove Skara away by being rude.
"Hey, Skara." Cat said dully.
"How're you feeling?" Skara asked, sitting next to the bed.
"Horrible."
"... I know how you feel." Skara said, "I just learned that... I'm... part Elemental Mage."
Cat gave her a look, which said she had no idea what the hell that was.
"I can control elements without needing to use my bile sack." Skara said.
She raised her hand and red lightning moved around her hand.
"I learned about it like this-"
About 40 minutes earlier, Skara was woken up by Eda and Raine.
"Wakey wakey, eggs and bakey." Eda said, shaking Skara awake.
"Mmm." Skara said, slowly opening her eyes.
The young bard saw the making faces of her new guardian over her.
"Someone must've fallen asleep looking through some human items." Raine said, not revealing Eda use a sleep spell on her.
"I did?" Skara asked, leaning up and rubbing her eyes.
"Yeah." Eda said, nodding. "Listen, we... went to your house and... we learned something."
"What?!" Skara asked, alerted and jolting up. "You went back into my house?!"
"We did nothing! Your home is fine!" Raine quickly said, calming down Skara. "It was mostly to prep your parents for their official funeral but we may have....ran into someone."
"What? Who?" Skara asked.
"You're great uncle." Raine said.
"W-w-what?" Skara asked, confused by this. "But... I was told he died before I was born."
"Well, apparently NOT." Eda said, shaking her head.
"We took what we found to the library and we discovered something." Raine said, taking out the mask, "They have a color coordination system, and learned that this belonged to your father."
Raine handed Skara the mask, seeing the golden symbol on it.
"We haven't cracked everything yet, but we do know one thing, that color, and symbol, mean royal." Eda said, "Skara, you're dad was the Prince, meaning your the princess of them. We... well, Raine?"
"We believe that your Great Uncle was coming to take you to the other Titan, possibly to teach you." Raine said, "We also found something. An axe with a word on it... Itoch... your father's true last name. It means Royalty, such as king or queen, and the word Skara, means lightning."
"So, that makes me-"
"The Lightning Queen." Skara told Cat, finishing the story. "Yep, I'm literally half a witch."
"And....the other half?" Cat asked, very shocked and surprised by this.
It was already enough Luz was half Titan, but Cat couldn't even begin to imagine what half Skara was.
"Basically a sub species of witch, the Elemental Mage." Skara said, making it sound like"simple."
"Okay, but why is this the first time I've heard of "elemental mages?"" Cat asked.
"Cuz they've been unrecorded since THAT man was emperor." Skara said, before looking at her hands as the new weight of her things was catching up on her. "... My entire life has been flipped the last few days, I really don't know what to do."
Cat looked away, unsure of what to say, when she realized what would be perfect.
"You know... ever since I was turned into a puppet, I had one fear." Cat said, "I was afraid I would never see the people I loved again, I was afraid that anyone that wasn't captured would eventually either get caught, or grow old and die, while I was there, stuck as a wooden puppet, stuck at 14, for all eternity... I was afraid that I would never get to say what was on my mind... that I would never say 'I love you' to the girl I like."
"Y-y-you like someone?" Skara asked.
"Hey, just because I was a puppet doesn't mean my heart is still made of wood." Cat said, "She's beautiful, funny, one of the nicest people I've ever seen... and she is apparently a lost princess of a forgotten race of witches."
Skara blushed and looked away.
"She... sounds familiar." Skara said, "I've also had some... feelings for you as well."
The two blushing girls sat in silence for a couple minutes before Skara spoke up.
"So, my life has been flipped upside down... and your life has been flipped upside down... want to live our upside down lives... together?" She asked.
Cat grabbed Skara's hand.
"I'd like that." Cat replied.
The two looked at each other and had the first real smile either of them have had for a while. They slowly moved forward, about to have their first kiss and cement themselves as a couple... when Skara's scroll rang. The "Lightning Queen" looked annoyed and picked up.
"What?!" Skara asked, before listening for a few minutes, "What do you mean Luz almost died!?"
