Ella knew how she was going to do all she could to find out what was going on. She knew her mum was keeping something from her. And she didn't like it.

She hated secrets being kept from her. Especially when she thought they were about her.

She knew that things were weird for her. Especially as she knew that she had been pushing Cal away. She didn't want to. But it was her response to her struggling.

She needed to talk to Kenzie. But she knew her sister had not long had a baby. And she didn't want to pressure her into anything.

It was safe to say that Kenzie was struggling. And she just wanted to know what was going on.

Cal had told her that things were going to be okay. And she was worried for nothing. But she somehow  couldn't cope with it.

All she knew was that things were awkward. And she wanted it to go back to how it used to be. Before all the secrets and lies.

Morning came and Ella rolled over in bed. She saw Cal there. He looked to her and grinned. "You know you, you make me happy," he said.

"Oh?"

Cal nodded. He kissed her and laid her down. He moved between her legs and smirked. "It takes everything I have in me to not grab you and have sex with you all the time," he told her.

Ella grinned. "There's nothing stopping you. I certainly wouldn't complain. I love you. And I want us to work," she said.

"Me too. I know you're worried about the whole secret thing. But you don't need to be. Whatever it is, it will be okay. I promise."

Ella smiled and kissed him. She knew Cal was her rock. And he had been there for her through all the stress.

Ella went into the ED. She smiled as she saw Kenzie with Maddie. She and Cal walked over. "Oh it's my favourite baby. Hi cutie," she said as she picked her up.

Kenzie smiled. "Are you okay? I know things haven't been easy for you. But are you okay?" She asked.

Ella nodded. "I'm good. I have to be. I'm just... I don't know. I feel like maybe I need to stop dwelling on what mum is hiding. Cal told me I'll drive myself crazy thinking about it," she told her.

Kenzie nodded. "Yeah. You will. Mum will always have secrets. It's the mum thing to do. But I'm sure if it's serious, she'll tell us at some point. Don't stress about what you can't control. Okay?"

Ella grinned. "Having a baby made you wise."

"Yeah. And it made my vagina hurt too."

Ella was sitting in the staffroom. She had just lost a patient which had got to her. She wiped away the tears as her mum walked in. "I think we need to talk."

"Yeah. Okay," Ella mumbled. She wiped her tears away. "What's going on?"

Claire sat with her and took a deep breath. "I haven't been completely honest with you. But Charlie. He's your father," she told her.

Ella sat there in absolute shock. Not knowing how it was all about to go downhill for her.
