Ella couldn't help but worry that things with her mum were getting tense. She knew how she felt like her mum was keeping something from her.

She felt like she knew who her dad was. And that she was keeping it a secret from her and Kenzie.

That morning, she walked into the bedroom and saw Cal sitting on the bed. She rolled her eyes. "Aren't you in work?" she asked.

"Took the morning off. Didn't feel like dealing with Dylan this morning."

Ella rolled her eyes but smiled. She knew how Iain got annoyed easily. She looked to him. "Fine. But don't say I didn't warn you when Connie comes looking."

Cal winked. "She doesn't scare me. I'll see you later babe," he told her as he pulled her onto the bed and kissed her.

Ella went into work. She smiled as she saw her sister. She walked over to her. "Bloody Cal is a knob. He's taken the morning off cause he doesn't want to deal with Dylan," she told her.

Kenzie smirked. "Well if it helps, mum and Charlie have been off whispering in corners. There's definitely something going on there."

Ella nodded and sighed. She looked to her sister. "For definite. They're being so secretive. I just wish I knew what was going on," she told her.

"Fancy snooping today? Me and you?"

Ella grinned and nodded. She looked to see her mum walking around the hospital. "So come on then mum. Are you going to tell us the truth? I know there's something going on. Just be honest. What's the worse that can happen?" She said.

"Nothing. But just drop it. Both of you," Claire said as she walked off.

Ella looked to Kenzie. She sighed. "Definitely keeping something from us. And I'm going to find out what it is," she told her.

Ella looked up as Cal walked into the staffroom. She smiled. "Finally decided to come in? About time."

Cal pulled her off the stool she was sitting on and kissed her. He looked into her eyes. "I love you. You know that right?" He said.

"I know. I love you too."

Cal slid a hand into her scrub trousers. She bit her lip as she felt him pushing a finger into her. Ella hid her face in his neck to stop her moans from being loud. "B-Babe," she moaned.

Within moments, she released her load. She looked to Cal who had a smirk on his face. He looked to her. "That's why I came into work. I had a sudden urge to do you."

Ella rolled her eyes but grinned. She winked. "You know, I finish early today. So if you want, go home. I'll cover for you. And then we can get under the covers."

"Oh you doll."

All too soon, the shift finished. Ella walked out to her car and sighed. Kenzie was there with their mum. She frowned. "What's going on?" She asked.

"Mum is going to tell us the truth. About why she and Charlie are off whispering in corners," Kenzie said.

Ella turned to look at her mum. But would she like the answers she would get?
