"You sure we should do this?", Spot mumbled, walking shoulder to shoulder with Race just ten minutes from the Brooklyn Lodge House.

"Yes. It's only Ace after all, he won't betray you"

"But what if he does?"

"We'll figure that out when it comes to it, not that we'll need to, will we" Race said attempting to dull Spots tension.

"No", Spot gulped as he saw the Lodgings come into view, "We won't."

"Attaboy" Race replied smacking the brim of Spots cap over his eyes. Spot shot him a glare, as long as Race had known Spot, he'd always seen strength and power lie beneath the almighty leader's eyes, but today, beneath those eyes was a boy who wanted to let all his walls crumble down.

"Never do that again, Higgins"

"Alright your majesty" Race laughed putting his hands up in a mocking manner. In return Spot looked at him cockily, but Race could see the fear hiding behind the powerful mask Spot put on.

"Hey, you got this, it's gonna be okay" Race said, reassuringly.

Spot nodded back, if he spoke his voice would break, and that tough wall he put up would break, it was normally okay to talk to Race about things, but he was too close to his boys for that to overcome him.

They finally reached the lodge house and Race went up the back way and into Spots room, whilst Spot went through the front door, asking for Ace to follow him up to his room. Each step he took creaked at him, like a warning, "Run, Run, Run" they chanted, 'no, he was just being paranoid, like Race said it would be okay.'

Reaching the top step leading to his bedroom felt like an eternity, Spot wasn't sure whether that made it better or worse.

The door creaked open to reveal Racetrack resting on the bed, with his head leant back onto the wall.

Spot could see Ace shoot him a confused glare upon entering the room. Spot ignored it pointing at the chair sat flimsily at his desk.

Ace sat down gingerly as Spot perched on the edge of the bed.

"So, er- Boss, how can I help?" Ace started after a few seconds of silence and glances at each other back and forth.

"Yeh, um, I have something to tell you"

"Right"

"But ya gotta swear ya won't tell a soul"

"Okay, what is it?"

"Ummm", Spot looked back at Race who shrugged and sat up.

Now Ace looked even more confused.

Spot groaned, "Racetrack you do it."

"Oh- um alright, Ace, me and Spot have, urm, been going out for a little time now, umm- yeh that's it, I think"

"Oh, um, cool, cool"

They sat in an uneasy silence for a moment before Ace stood up.

"Can I go?" Ace asked hesitantly

Spot nodded, "Urm- yeh, not a soul, Ace"

Ace darted from the room as fast as he could, still leaving the chair strewn in the centre of the floor.

Spot put his head in his hands and growled.

"That went well, I think" Race said putting his hand on Spot's back.

"You think that went well, Higgins.", His voice muffled from his hands.
