Chapter 19: The Story

"What do you want, Edward?" At this point, I didn't even want to engage with him any further. He might think I am still the weak girl he took advantage of, but since I had my daughter, I grew strength. I don't know, but it felt like I had to protect my daughter at all cost.

"Aw, sweetheart..." He slowly takes slow steps towards me. "...that's not a way to speak to the father of your child." He smirks at me while he walks closer and closer to me. Just when I was about to step back, he aggressively grabbed my hair, making me wince because of how painful his hold was on my hair.

"So you think you were going to succeed in keeping... my precious daughter away from me." He averts his gaze and looks down behind me to see my 5 year old daughter staring at him with fear displayed on her eyes. He slowly let's go of my hair and walked past me towards my daughter. He crouched down and attempted to touch her cheek. But, Y/n was fast enough to step back and say, "Don't touch me... please. Mommy?" The voice she used to call me made me want to cry my eyes out. I could hear fear through her voice.

"Edward, leave my daughter alo-" Just when I was about to make my way towards him, his two guards grab both my arms to stop me. "LET GO OF ME!!" I try to fight them, but it was of no use. "Edward, I swear. If you lay a finger on my daughter, it will not end well for you." I say with all meaning through me. He just turns around amused and starts to laugh at me like a maniac.

"Sweetheart, I have killed hundreds of people to be where I am. Even to the point where I had to kill the only people close to me. So, who do you think you are?" He smirks as if he was proud by what he just said. Disgusting.

"Anyways, I'm here to fetch my daughter. Let me take her with me without any fights, and I promise you, you won't die." He says, and I felt my heart stop for a second. I then watch him walk towards my daughter, who takes a few steps back and calls out to me in a low, sweet voice. "M-mommy."

"N-no... NO! EDWARD STOP!! EDWARD!" Although I know deep down it's off no use to fight these two bulk men holding me still, I still try to fight for my daughter. "Edward!!" I call him out loud this time, and he turns around and looks at me.

I smirk at him, and he looks at me confused. "Smiling all of a sudden? Are you crazy or what woman?" I chuckle and shake my head. "What a man you are? You call yourself a man but need man to hold a woman for you. I thought men could do what they came here for without having to ask people for help. You're here claiming to be a man, yet you act like a little boy." I see him slowly getting angry by my words. He chooses to ignore them and continues to walk towards Y/n.

"You are scared, Edward. Let me go, you two!!" A sudden knock stops us three. I see Edward signaling one of the guards to open the door. And when they did, shock would be an understatement of what I felt. "M-mom? Dad?" I question as I blink my eyes several times, seeing my own mother and father walking in the house and not even sparing me a glance. They walk in and go towards Y/n. Mother picks her up and because she could walk again. "MOM!! Mom, what are you doing? What's going on?? Mom? Dad? P-please, what is going on?" Edward breaks into laughter.

"Sweetheart, calm down. Don't act like you didn't know your parents were in the same business as me?" I felt my feet stumble back, losing their balance. I looked over to my father, who had an expressionless face. "D-dad? Pl-please don't do this. She's yo-your granddaughter. Please just look at her once, with consideration." My father slowly turns his head towards me with a blank expression. He stares at me for a while and then back to my mom and Edward. "Hurry up. The men are here. Edward, ensure to send us money by the end of today." My dad says...
