Chapter 10

Alexa's POV

I know Ben said that he isn't going to tell me what was said today at the lake between him and Alex. But i'd be lying if I said I didn't want to know.

I saw a different side of Ben today. I've never seen him so protective and.. angry. He barely looked at me today, all of his focus was on Alex and getting Alex to let go of me. I'm not gonna lie, it was hot seeing him like that, but at the same time, I know how Alex can get and i'm just glad there wasn't a fight.

I spent the rest of the afternoon with Ben. We rode around and listened to music, talked and just hung out like old times, although, it was different now because our feelings are out in the open, so there was some hand holding, kissing, hugging.

I'm still getting used to all that stuff.

"Lex?"

I'm snapped out of my thoughts when Ben says my name, I realize we're back at my house in the driveway. It's now about 6:00 pm and i'm starting to get hungry.

I look at Ben to let him know that i'm back in reality, and he chuckles to himself and continues, "I asked if you wanted me to cook for you tonight? I have to go home and shower and change, but then I can run to the store and get some things and come back here." He smiles shyly and it couldn't be cuter.

I smile big at him and nod my head, "that sounds great, i'm starving." I giggle and he laughs.

"Perfect. I'll see you soon. Text me if you need anything"

I smile and nod, leaning over to kiss him. He kisses me back and then pulls away and smiles.

And with that, I get out of the car and walk to the front door, unlock it and go inside, closing and locking the door behind me.

Now i'm alone.

I'll be honest, i'm kind of nervous to be alone now, without Ben, especially with how Alex has been acting with Ben being home. Who knows where he is or what he's doing.. what he's planning?

I quickly shake those thoughts from my head and decide to go shower and change before Ben gets back.

I go to my room, grab a change of clothes and go into the bathroom. I start some music on my phone and get in the shower letting the hot water run over me for a few seconds before doing everything I need to.

I have a boyfriend now so I had to do more than I usually would, including shaving.. EVERYWHERE.

After about 10-15 minutes, I exit the shower, dry myself off and change into sweatpants and a crop top.

No need to dress up, we'll probably stay in tonight so I blow dry my hair and take my contacts out, throwing on my glasses.

I go back into the kitchen and clean up a little bit before Ben gets back. I have no idea what he plans on cooking so I might as well clean up in case it's a big meal.

So far it's been a little over an hour since Ben has been gone and i'm not gonna lie, I kind of miss him.

I'm sitting on the couch watching TV when I hear the doorbell ring.

Huh, I wonder why Ben didn't text me, I was going to help him bring in the stuff he got from the grocery store.

I shake that thought and get up from the couch and walk to the door. I unlock it and open it.

"Hey! I-" I stop dead in my tracks when it's not Ben I see outside my house.

It's Alex.

"A-Alex? What are you doing here? You shouldn't be here." I say, trying to hide the tremble in my voice.
