Chapter 12

Alexa's POV

Ben and I woke up this morning at about 10. It felt really good to sleep in, especially with him next to me.

We laid in bed for a while before getting up and making breakfast and coffee. I showered and then he showered. After a couple hours of relaxing, it's now 1 pm and we decide to head back to his school.

I grab all my things and lock the door behind us as we walk to his car. He opens the door for me and takes my bag. I get in and watch him as he closes the door and then puts my bag in the trunk with his before walking around and getting in the drivers seat.

"I'm nervous" I say shyly as he starts driving.

He looks at me and raises his eyebrows, "why?"

"I've just never really been on a college campus before, let alone any college parties. I feel like i'm going to stick out so much." I say unsure.

He smiles and puts his free hand on my thigh for reassurance. "Lex, no one will care that you don't go there or anything. You'll fit in just fine, I promise. I'm going to have to keep an eye on you around one of my roommates though, he's a total flirt and I don't want him stealing you away from me." He chuckles and smiles.

I giggle, "yeah? Tell me about your roommates. You've never really told me about them."

He nods and shrugs, "nothing exciting really. They're both great guys and i've gotten close with them the past year. I would say we're all good friends. Jackson, he's the flirt. He transferred here from Australia so he does have an accent which I have a theory is why he gets so many girls." He laughs at that and I laugh too. "Dustin, he's cool too. He can be a flirt when he wants to be, but he's more focused on school than anything else really. They're both engineering majors like me, which is probably why we've gotten so close." He pauses, "I think you'll like them, and I think they'll like you too. I've told them some stuff about you but I think they'll be happy to meet you in person." He looks over at me and smiles.

I nod, "okay, doesn't sound too bad." I pause. "Australian you say?" I bite my lip to hold in a laugh.

He whips his head to the side, giving me a death glare before turning his attention back to the road and squeezing my thigh, "yes Australian. But don't get any funny ideas, it'll be hard enough keeping him away from you."

I laugh at his seriousness, "Ben, i'm kidding, i've only got eyes for you. Plus, I don't think he'll be as bad as you think he will be. I'm not that special."

He glances at me again, "Alexa, you're beautiful and so hot. I'm lucky that I got to you before you go to college because you'd have guys all over you. And trust me, I know Jackson well, he knows his accent works with girls and I know he'll use it with you. He's just a flirt so I know I can trust him not to do anything, but just be prepared because he will flirt with you."

I look at him and giggle and then turn my attention to the window.

The rest of the car ride is quick and easy. We stop for food along the way and just talk about what we're gonna do this weekend.

I'm so fascinated by all of the buildings and the amount of students walking around even though there isn't class this week.

Ben points out certain buildings and places around campus as we drive through on the way to his dorm.

When we make it to his dorm, he grabs our bags and leads me inside. We take the elevator up to the third floor and then walk down a long hallway until he stops in front of a door.

"This is it" he says as he opens the door. I follow him inside and am surprised with how spacious and pretty nice it is for a dorm room.

When you walk in there's a big open room, for boys they're pretty clean and organized. There's a tv stand with a tv on it against the wall with a couch and a loveseat in front of it. Then there's 3 different doors which i'm guessing are their bedrooms.

I'm looking around and hear one of the doors open and a voice saying, "BENNNNN!!! Back so soon? Let me guess, you missed me?"

Ben chuckles and daps up his roommate. I stand back and watch the interaction. I can guess that this roommate is Jackson by his accent and the way Ben described him to me.

He's very handsome. He's tall, fit and cut like Ben, but he's a little more tan and has light brown, messy and wavy hair to match his blue eyes. He also wears a chain and I can see some tattoos on his arms.

I can tell they're close just by this interaction.

Eventually, he notices me and yep.. Ben was right, definitely flirty. He immediately flashes his best smile at me and takes my hand, kissing the top of it. "And who is this pretty little thing?"

I can't help but blush between what he said and his accent, I can see what Ben meant when he said he gets all the girls he wants.

Ben gives him a stern look after he kisses my hand and says, "this is Alexa, my best friend from back home. Who also happens to be my GIRLFRIEND" , he emphasizes 'girlfriend' , like he's making sure Jackson heard him clearly. I can see he's trying his best to be serious, but he's holding back a smile.

I giggle a little when Jackson puts his arms up in surrender, "woah man, no need to get hostile" , he looks back at me and says, "nice to meet you Alexa. I've heard a lot about you. And if you ever get tired of Ben, lucky for you, i'm right next door" , he smirks up at Ben and then looks at me and winks.

I laugh and Ben just rolls his eyes but I can see a smile wanting to break through.

"Yeah, yeah. Is Dustin here?"

Jackson chuckles to himself and then says, "nah, he's at the gym, but he should be back soon. Are you guys coming to the party tonight?"

Ben looks at me and then looks at him, "yeah if Alexa wants to."

Jackson smiles and then looks at me, "you should. You'll have fun, but if Ben doesn't want to, then you could always come stick with me. I wouldn't mind having a girl like you on my arm" , he winks again.

I giggle and blush and hear Ben sigh beside me. "Okay, thank you Jackson. We're going to my room now!" , I laugh as Ben pulls me with him without giving Jackson time to reply.

We go into Ben's room and he closes the door. I can hear Jackson laughing in the other room.

"He's... a character" , I say as I take a seat on Ben's bed.

He laughs, "yeah, you see what I mean? He's a flirt and he knows he is. He likes making it obvious because he knows girls like that."

I laugh, "yeah, I see that. I can also see that you guys are close. He gets under your skin on purpose and it's cute. You have a little bromance going on." I smile.

He puts our bags down and sits down next to me, "yeah, he's a good guy. He's actually the one that convinced me to tell you about my feelings for you. I think that made us closer. He's a good friend."

I smile and nod.

The next few hours are spent with Ben showing me around campus and getting food and then hanging out at his dorm.

Dustin came back from the gym at some point. I'm not sure how it's possible that there's 3 dangerously attractive guys that all live together but i'll tell you it's possible because i'm witnessing it.

Dustin walked in while Ben, Jackson and I were sitting in their "living room" talking. He was sweaty from the gym and wearing shorts and a cutoff t-shirt. He's also tall, with muscles and a chain as well. He has shorter brown hair that go well with his brown eyes.

We exchanged hellos and nice to meet yous and then he went to shower but said he would see us at the party.

So here I am now, getting ready for a college party.
