I continue to stare at America for the rest of the meeting. The meeting ends, and as soon as I get up from my seat and look away from America, my body goes cold again. I guess the idea of him not noticing me is worrying, but I don't know why. I've never felt this way, and it is happening out of nowhere.
"Are you OK, Rus?" I here Ukraine say from beside me. I'm not ok, but I can't tell her that, especially being in this room. "Yeah, I'm fine," the only response I can come up with.
Ukraine grabs my sleeve and pulls me out of the room. As soon as we get outside the building, she asks again. "Russia, please tell me, what's wrong? I know you better than that, " she says, looking worried. "I-I had this... dream, " I say, looking away in embarrassment. "What kind of dream?" She says, confused. "I don't want to talk about it." She hugs me. I know she's worried. I don't know how she knows me this well, but she does and always has. Especially since our father died.
"Would it be better if we went back home?" She asks, letting me go. "I-I don't know," I say, studdering. I never studder. Showing her even more that something is wrong. "Ok, what should we do then?" I feel so cold, and I don't understand it.
I respond to her, "I guess we can talk". "Alright," she says. I can hear the relief in her voice.
We walk over to a bench and sit down. Once we sit down, she looks at me, expecting an explanation. "Alright, fine, I had a dream about freezing. I was cold, and I couldn't get warm. I am starting to feel it now in feal life also."
Her facial expression changes,"so what should we do?". I look down, embarrassed. "Russia, I know you have a solution. Why won't you tell me?" she says, worried. "The only thing that stopped it was another country that I had forgotten about until now," I say shyly.
Ukraine is the only country that I can show weakness to, and she knows it. That's why she pushes for me to tell her. "Well, who is it, I'm sure we can make an agreement with them," she says, making my eyes go wide. "No, we can't do that," I say loudly. She is confused, and I can tell by her face, "Why not?".
