i hear yelling and speed-walk back towards the cafeteria. as soon as i peak in, i see madi and her "friends" near my table and immediately get angry again. i walk back to the table as calm as i can with nick holding my hand keeping me relaxed.
"get the fuck out of my seat, madi. why do you think coming back when i'm gone will do anything? are you that much of a dumb bitch?" she glares at me and looks back at chris. "whatever. anyways chris, do you wanna go out with me?" madi asks chris. "no. never in a million fucking years." chris says.
"as a matter a fact," chris gets up and stands on the table, "EVERYONE, I LOVE DAKOTA, SO IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH IT, TOO FUCKING BAD. SHE'S MINE AND I'M HERS." chris announces in front of the entire cafeteria.
"dakota, will you go out with me?" i hesitate, but eventually answer, "yes, of course, a thousand times yes." everyone cheers and chris gets off the table and hugs me tightly.
"UGH. I WONT STOP TRYING TO GET HIM." madi says, angry. i notice that sofia tucker's starting to tear up, but i ignore it.
*timeskip* 3 weeks after that day
i'm at the triplets house along with kadie. nick and i are sitting next to each other and he gets up to grab a drink, "hey, any of you want a drink?" "i'll take a pepsi," chris and i say in unison, "awh, such cute loverbirds." matt mocks.
"shut up, matt." "whatever, kota." nick goes to the kitchen and grabs two pepsis for chris and i, two dr peppers for kadie and matt, and a ginger ale for himself. "thank you, nickyyyyy." i say in a childish tone, "thanks, nick." chris says and the other two say thank you. (i got lazy lmao)
"hey, kota?" "yes, chris?" "do you wanna go to dinner tomorrow?" "of course, love." "ugh, we get it, you guys are together." kadie says aggravated and rolls her eyes.
"speaking of people being together, kadie." matt says. "mhm?" she replies, staring at her phone. "do you wanna go out with me?" "what..? WAIT WHAT?? OF COURSE, A BILLIONS TIMES YES." "YAYY, YALL FINALLY GOT TOGETHERR" i yell with excitement. "it did take you forever." nick says.
*timeskip* dakota goes home with kadie
kadie and i are SCREAMING the lyrics to "see you again" by tyler, the creator and kali uchis. i pull up to my drive way and get out of my car and skip to my front door. i unlock the door and put my stuff down and kadie and i go to my room.
"AHHHH, WE BOTH HAVE BOYFRIENDSSS." kadie says in the most excited tone, "ooo, i have a date tomorrow." "yes, you doo."

kadie and i are chillin in my bed on our phones and i get a snap from chris.
