Chapter 8
"Are you okay now, Miss?" He worriedly asked.
I sighed and nodded.
"Yeah... I just feel tired and a little sore due to physical tension, that's all."
"That's common after panic attack. It's called adrenaline hangover." He then picked all my things on the floor.
I didn't move, I was still on the floor as the accident still lingers in my thoughts. I felt tired and I just want to rest and sleep on the floor.
He wore my shoulder bag on his front and then carried me. I was unable to respond any reactions because I was too tired and I really need someone to carry me or else I'll really sleep on the floor.
"Just rest your face against my chest and sleep. I know you're tired." He said.
Oh... I remember someone with the same line.
But I was too tired to even remember or think about the past so I just let myself sleep.
It wasn't long. My peace soon left me.
"William! Please no!" My mom sobs.
Dad, once again pulled my mom's feet off of my bed.
"Get out of her bed! Go to my room!"
"Dad! No! Don't harm mom!"
"You mother-fucker asshole!"
He slapped me so hard so I rolled off of my bed.
"No! Don't harm our child!"
Clanks. Noise. Sobs. Shouts.
Shit.
I immediately woke up after my nightmare again. Half panting and whimpering. Sweats were all over my body and my heart was racing once again. I looked all over the room and it was very dark. I was in an unfamiliar room... alone.
I stood and tried to find a cabinet using my hands and when I finally found one, I stood and went beside it and settled myself there while hugging my body. I leaned my head against the side of the cabinet and closed my eyes again to sleep.
Now, dad won't be able harm me or my mom in bed anymore.
And everything went black. With an uncomfortable position, I felt safe.
My consciousness slapped me when I felt a touch from someone. I opened my eyes so I saw him who was trying to cover me up with a comforter but ended up waking me up.
"Oh, You're awake." He said and then smiled.
I straightened my back and immediately stood. He was wearing a white hoodie jacket and looks like he came from running outside because of sweats from his forehead.
"Uhm... where am I?"
"My condo unit."
"Oh... right. I fell asleep." I nodded.
"Yeah. You should eat something for breakfast. You didn't get to eat anything because you were too tired."
"No thanks." But my stomach says the otherwise as it growled out of frustration.
He chuckled.
"Come on, Miss. I cooked a breakfast. You could at least eat in order to gather energy for today." He smiled.
Oh, he looks really innocent with that smile. Wonder what kind of man is he.
He's handsome too. Wonder if he has any girlfriend? That would be a lot of trouble.
