Chapter 12

-------------~-----------------------

Lightning bolt? Where did a lightning bolt come from? No other Pokemon were battling in the plane.Then I realized;

Orange was the other pilot.

He chuckled, sparks sprouting from his palm.

"Ellie," He said in a low voice, "You're little friend seems to have a sharper mind than you." Glaceon growled, and I scowled. Ice collected in the room, stretching from my feet.

"You better watch it, Orange," I hissed, returning the Panpour to his Pokeball. "We're not through with you,"

"Why Ellie, my dear, I think it would be the other way around." Orange smirked.

"I'm not 'your dear,'" I told him simply. "Cut to your point already."

"I challenge you to a Pokemon Battle!" He declared, and I was instantly reminded of his 'younger self.' This was just like him, 17 or not.

"Typical," I muttered. "Glaceon, you're up!" My angry parter glided gracefully through the air and landed at my feet. She growled at Orange, her eyes murderous. Orange rolled his eyes.

"Charizard, beat this pipsqueak." All of our eyes widened, even Monique's who pressed herself against the window. She hadn't met Orange except for his little evil outbreaks, but apparently his oxygen-tank-eating Charmander had evolved. Twice.

Glaceon let out a little whimper that I'm pretty sure only I heard. The Charizard had to crouch, and even then its head was crushed against the top of the plane. We could use that as an advantage.

"Glaceon, get ready. You're smaller than it, so you can escape easier." I whispered to my partner. Glaceon shakily nodded, her eyes fixed wide and scared on Charizard's teeth.

"Charizard, Flamethrower!" Orange yelled.

"RUN!" I screamed. Both Glaceon and I lunged in different directions and the Flamethrower created a wall in between us. I gulped. This would be more dangerous than Monique in a forest. "Glaceon, counter the Flamethrower with Icebeam! With all the power you have!" I called over the fire.

"GLACEON!" She replied over the fire and I saw steam rise over the flames. After a few moments, the largest Icebeam I had ever seen pushed the fire backwards a bit, so I saw Glaceon's blue ears. Yet Charizard's Flamethrower never faltered. I wonder what Orange's plan was, to melt us again?

"Um, Ellie--" Monique started, but was interrupted by Orange's next command.

"Aerial Ace!" He shouted.

"In a plane?!" I yelled in shock. "Glaceon, don't let your Icebeam down! Aim it for Charizard's mouth!" As soon as the Flamethrower stopped, Glaceon's Icebeam shot forward towards and hit Charizard in the jaw. Instead of continuing with his next attack, he let out a roar and the Icebeam went straight down his throat.

Charizard started gagging and heaved a huge, saliva covered oxygen tank onto the plane floor. Glaceon stopped her Icebeam and we exchanged disgusted glances.

"Eew." I said simply. Even Orange seemed sort of surprised. He shook his head.

"Charizard, that is the most disgusting thing I've ever seen," He said. Charizard had some red blooming on his cheeks.

"Um, Ellie, I really think you should look at this--"

"Hang on, Monique, let me win this battle!" I called. "Glaceon, Blizzard!" The white snow sprayed from her mouth, but it obviously didn't have as much power, since her last attack was so strong. It covered the entire plane, except for the overly-large shadow of Charizard.
