"God, Ian, can you for fuck's sake pay attention!", Anthony almost screamed at his friend. Ian looked at him surprised. He was actually lost in his thoughts and it wasn't the first time since they started working today. They tried to prepare the presentation to give their company now that they just bought Smosh back. Ian had a really hard time concentrating, but he wasn't expecting his friend to freak out about it. "Maybe we should continue tomorrow", Ian said looking away now. For some reason that really hurt. Anthony immediately felt bad, but he was so stressed and exhausted in a way that it made him just agree and leave.

As soon as Ian's front door closed between them, they both kind of rolled their eyes about themselves. They should've just talked about it and instead, they went to bed feeling bad. Ian knew he got distracted a lot today. His ADHD made it hard to work on something he wasn't really interested in. And it's not that he didn't want to prepare the presentation as well as possible, but it was just not the kind of work his brain enjoyed. Also, he didn't have much sleep, because his thoughts were running wild. Now that they owned their company again and he had his best friend back, every single insecurity he ever had came back up. He was scared that it would go wrong, he was scared they wouldn't be able to run Smosh alone again, and he was scared their friendship would break just like the first time.

They talked about their fears before buying back, but now that it was serious, he was kinda scared to admit that he was still thinking about all that. Anthony seemed so secure about everything and he was so behind this presentation. Why would he even get mad at him like that? He obviously was pretty serious about it. With a sigh, Ian turned around trying to finally sleep, and after another twenty minutes, it worked.

About twelve hours later, Anthony was back at Ian's place. He parked his car and took a deep breath. He wanted to address his little outburst from the day before. They should talk about these things if they really wanted to make it work this time. It didn't take long until they sat down to work again. "Before we start, I'm sorry for yesterday. I guess, I got a bit frustrated because I wanted to get done with this. It's... I thought about this presentation way too much and I'm making myself go crazy and overthinking it", Anthony admitted while the laptop was booting. "But I shouldn't take it out on you", he added. Ian looked at him a bit surprised. "Are you nervous about this?", he asked. "Cause I am. And I couldn't concentrate... because of my ADHD, but also because my mind was... overthinking", he added. Anthony couldn't hold back slight laughter. "So, we both got into our heads", he concluded. Ian nodded laughing with him for a moment.

"Sorry again. I know, you can't really do much about it when you get distracted and I still got mad", Anthony repeated his apology then. "It's fine. You got frustrated, and honestly? I did too. I get frustrated by that myself, so... yeah", Ian accepted. "We're both nervous, aren't we?", he then asked. "I mean... I am going to walk into that building, meet people I have never met before, and at the same time people I worked with years ago. And the first thing I'm going to do is hold a presentation about what we are going to do with the company they work for", Anthony explained what his thoughts were about. "Yeah, and we expect everyone to be happy, but... I mean... it's not said that they will be", Ian added. His friend nodded and they looked at each other for a second. Now that they talked about it, they could see the unease in each other and it made them laugh again. "We should've talked yesterday", Ian laughed and his friend agreed. They talked a bit more about their thoughts calming each other down.

When that finally got to work, it was already easier. At some point, Ian looked right past Anthony again to look outside. He recognized his friend's distraction and smiled at the look on his face. Anthony just stopped working to wait when Ian would recognize it himself. They played this game sometimes, even when Anthony got distracted. But it did take a while until Ian came back to reality and met his friend's eyes again. They immediately laughed about it and Anthony grabbed an anti-stress ball he spotted on the desk to give it to Ian. "What? You think this helps?", he grinned amused. "Why do you have it here, if it doesn't help?", Anthony wanted to know. "Because I thought it would, and it didn't", he just said.

"Well, then here we go again. Just a few slides left", Anthony tried to find motivation. "You know, you can tell me, when I'm distracted as long as you don't scream at me like I'm stupid", Ian wanted to tell his friend. "I won't", he immediately said. "I mean, I won't scream", he added. Ian just shook his head smiling. He knew Anthony still felt bad for yesterday, but he really wasn't mad at him anymore. Maybe he could make it a joke later, but for now, he really wanted to get done with this goddamn presentation.
