I'm honestly not sure if this is friendship or if it counts as romantic already. Feel free to tell me in the comments!

„Guys c'mon", Ian sighed looking in his rear-view mirror at drunk Shayne and drunk Courtney. They had a good party for Smosh's birthday and almost everyone got a bit too drunk. Of course, a few people had to drive, like Ian, but over all, it was one of the craziest parties in a while. Maybe because everyone was still so hyped about Anthony being back. Ian had a great time too or else he would've stayed till four in the morning. He also did feel some kind of responsibility now to get his two drunk friends home safely.

"God, stop it!", he almost yelled when he saw Courtney and Shayne way too close to each other giggling. It wasn't that he wouldn't be happy for them to find partners but he was pretty sure they both would regret it if something happened between them tonight. They were friends and colleagues after all. What Ian didn't know was that they had been pretty close before. Another time they were a bit drunk and ended up cuddling on the couch giggling until falling asleep. They never really talked about it but it also didn't change anything between them.

Ian was pretty relieved when he arrived at Shayne's place. "I can walk!", his friend said stumbling out of the car and waiting for Courtney. They also stumbled a bit but somehow the drunk ones made it to the door together. "I could bring you home", Ian mentioned. "No, thank you", Courtney grinned at him. He just sighed again. "Shayne, do you think you'll get along?", Ian asked the other one hoping he might be a bit more sober. "Don't worry, I'll get us into bed", he answered audibly drunk. "Good. Wait... how did you mean that? Just lay her down, get yourself into bed, close your eyes and sleep", Ian tried to tell him exactly what to do. He wanted to bring them inside and make sure they'd get to bed to sleep, but Shayne stood in his now open door like he didn't want to let him in. "I'll take care", he winked at Ian and closed the door in front of him.

Ian stood there for a second. Hopefully, they would just be tired enough to sleep. The whole way home he was thinking about if he should've insisted on bringing Courtney home. But they all were adults and he was not responsible for them. So he shook this thought off at concentrated on getting home quickly.

Shayne actually was clear enough to just bring Courtney to the bathroom, giving them some shirt, and close the door for them. He took the time to get changed himself struggling a bit to coordinate his body. Of course, he knew they were both drunk but it was just down to the point where everything kind of didn't matter because he felt pretty good. "Whoopsie", Courtney stumbled into the bedroom giggling about themselves. "Your turn", they smiled at Shayne. He didn't even think about saying anything about them lying down in his bed and just went to the bathroom before lying down in the same bed.

Just as Ian worried about before, they did get closer than they probably should've. But his hope for them being too tired for anything to happen was true too. Courtney just cuddled up to Shayne's warm, strong body and he pulled them even closer having them hide their face in his neck and shoulder. Both of them had not the possibility to think about any of that and so they just closed their eyes and drifted off into sleep quickly.

The next morning they both woke up because of the sun shining directly at them. Shayne knew that this meat it was around noon but it was the weekend so it didn't matter. What did matter was the blond hair on his face belonging to a beautiful person still cuddled up to him. "Good morning", he said carefully and a bit hoarse. Courtney grumbled a little because of the headache that inevitably was present. But they also recognized Shayne's body so close. "So, we wake up together again", he tried to start a conversation about it. "We... I didn't forget anything, did I?", Courtney asked a little scared. "No", Shayne laughed a bit. "We just fell asleep", he added and felt them relax immediately.

"How do you feel?", Shayne asked when they made it to get some breakfast on the table. "Painkiller is working", Courtney answered still a bit hungover. "I... I kinda meant the whole thing about tonight", he explained insecure about the upcoming conversation. "Oh... yeah. I don't know. I'm kinda good with it, I guess", Courtney said honestly. "What about you?", they wanted to know. "Oh, me too... I mean... whatever", he answered looking away. "No, what?", they didn't let go. "It happened twice now", Shayne admitted what he was thinking about. "Yeah... I mean... it's comfortable", Courtney thought out loud. He couldn't hold back a slight laugh. But it wasn't wrong so he nodded.

They came up with the idea to just don't make it a big deal. Both of them felt okay about it and it didn't make it awkward between them. "So, you wanna scare Ian a little?", Shayne suggested the next work day. He picked up Courtney because their car needed to be fixed. "How?", they wanted to know confused. "You remember when he brought us home? I think he was scared we would have sex", he explained slightly laughing. "Really?", Courtney laughed with him. So they came up with an idea and went into the office building. Not together though. They acted like they were mad at each other and didn't really talk. Ian did pick up on that pretty soon and it was hard to hold back the laughter seeing him putting together what absolutely didn't happen.

"Shayne? Do you have a minute?", Ian asked eventually, and said person immediately got up and followed his friend into his office holding back a laugh already and gesturing to Courtney in the way to follow them but wait outside. "So... yeah... I just... I have to ask you about Courtney", Ian started the conversation visibly uncomfortable. Shayne didn't say anything and Ian had an even harder time to bring out what he wanted to ask. His friend just looked at him as seriously as he could letting him stutter nervously. At some point he couldn't hold back anymore and bursted out laughing, opening the door to let Courtney in at the same time. Ian just stopped in his tracks looking at them completely confused. "You really believed us", Courtney laughed at Ian's face. "You... you were playing that?", he asked still in disbelief but also laughing now. "Oh yes, we did! And your face was so worth it!", Shayne screamed and they all died laughing also a bit relieved that what Ian imagined wasn't true.
