Jeongguk cracked his neck as he jogged down the stairs. It was early winter morning, so it was still dark outside and there was barely any light inside. The only reason he was up so early is because he spent most of yesterday asleep and the entire night asleep too. To him, it was a good way to save money.

"Shit!" He yelped when he tripped down the stairs and slammed his hand against the wall that had a staircase light switch. Surprisingly, the lights in the upstairs corridor turned on which indicated the electricity in the house was working.

Wait what? I swear that wasn't working earlier? Jeongguk ruffled his fluffy brown hair confused and walked over to the light switch at the entry door. Once he pressed on it, the open living room also lit up and shone some light into the kitchen connected to it.

Then, his eyebrows raised when he heard soft snoring coming from one of the now clean couches in the living room. He walked over quietly, staring at the sleeping boy with a blank face.

He had some dirty wipes clutched in his hands and was using the broomstick as a mop. What a weirdo. Jeongguk thought to himself and turned away to leave.

Well at least he cleaned up. Wait, what even was his name again? Jeongguk opened the door and paused as he thought carefully. Whatever, I'll ask later.

Taehyung jolted awake at the sound of the front door slamming which made him scream and sit up, "I'll call the police!" He yelled.

It settled on him that it was just Jeongguk leaving when he saw the boy from the cracked windows that he still needed to figure out a way to fix.

It's so cold because of it too, I need to make money so that I can get it fixed. Taehyung pulled himself off the couch and made his way to his room to get ready for the day.

It was now 8 am and the sun was starting to finally show, that made Taehyung mood a lot better when he stepped out into the cold with no gloves or a hat. He didn't have the smart idea to pack a thick coat as all he had was a small backpack and his focus was on making sure he had all his art supplies.

A cold breath of air left his mouth and soon enough he began to walk with some determination in him.

First, library. Taehyung took out his phone with his shaking hands and began to search wherever the nearest one was. As expected, it was close to the town centre so he began to walk before he froze to death in one spot.

The walk was silent, he usually listened to music and admired the scenery around him but he hated every single bit of it.

It's fine, I'll get accepted into an art uni and then I'll become a famous artist and I'll be living in a rich house. Taehyung put on a determined face and began to walk faster.

After another 10 minutes of walking, he spotted the tiny library that looked warm inside. It looked old and like a classroom inside with a few bookshelves. Taehyung thankfully wasn't there to take out a book but to use the computers there.

Please be working computers. Taehyung stepped inside and smiled at the librarian that just looked away. His smile fell but he continued to walk towards a free computer to begin his work.

Okay. I need to start make a really good CV and use the last of my money to print a bunch of copies off. Taehyung logged in and began to type, but instead of opening a word document he began to browse the internet.

A sigh of adoration left him when his dream university showed up on his screen.

No, no I still have a month to apply. I should focus on getting a job and settling down before doing all this. Taehyung shook his head, but he couldn't bring himself to click off the screen. If I get it out of the way, I can settle in peacefully.
