Jeongguk stirred awake to the sound of a voice talking over him, he whined and pulled the cover over his head as the voice only got louder.

"Jeongguk, I'm gonna be at my training shift today-"

"Leave me alone!" Jeongguk whined louder and rolled over onto his stomach.

Taehyung just sighed and rolled his eyes, "You better not coming looking for me then."

"Why the fuck would I do that?" Even while half asleep, Jeongguk still managed to sound like he'd beat the shit out of Taehyung even stayed there any longer.

So, Taehyung turned on his heel and made his way downstairs. He brushed his "uniform" as he walked multiple times so that he looked presentable, it wasn't really an official uniform he just had to wear all black and look like a waiter.

I hope they're nice at work, well it doesn't matter the money is what's important. Taehyung slipped on his shoes and shuddered when he stepped outside. It wasn't that much of a difference, the wind was the only thing making the outside colder.

I should take some time to fix up the house a bit more, especially the windows. It's fine if I don't eat enough but getting sick would be worse. Taehyung thought to himself and began his journey to the town centre.

Jeongguk flinched awake to the sound of his phone ringing, he groaned and picked it up reluctantly.

"I'm not dealing shit today, leave me alone." He spat, annoyed that this was the second time he got interrupted from his sleep.

"Jeongguk, it's Junghyun. You're still dealing?"

Jeongguk immediately woke up fully and sat up, "What do you want?"

"I just found out that you ran away from home. Come on Jeongguk, you're the big age of 19- go back home and talk it out with dad."

"No. I'm not going back ever, even if he leaves that woman. And how can you tell me that? You moved out when I turned 16." Jeongguk bitterly spat clearly jealous that his brother got out of the place before him.

"Maybe if you worked hard and didn't become some wannabe gangster you also would've had the opportunity to move elsewhere to study."

"You enjoy being the better twin, you should be thanking me. How's med school?" Jeongguk rolled his eyes.

"I'm trying to be better than anyone. You need to get your shit together and go back home-"

"Good joke!" At that, Jeongguk ended the call and fell back down onto his bed again. Stupid bastard.

He tried to go back to sleep, but now his mind was clouded with his family and why he left in the first place. All he could think about was the last straw that pushed him to pack his bags and go.

flashback.

"I don't get why you're with that bitch!" Jeongguk yelled, face red and wet from tears due to all the arguing.

His father stared at him helplessly, "She's your mother, don't call her t-"

"Then she should act like one! Why the fuck do you keep excusing her bullshit?!"

"Jeongguk, you need understand she's unstable- and I can't just leave her you don't understand how hard it is." Mr. Jeon wiped his face and let out a shaky sigh, wanting to appear as strong as he could, "I-"

Jeongguk scoffed, tilting his head in disbelief and striking his finger towards the mess on the floor, "Go on. Make me understand why you let her throw shit around, ruin the house, hurt you, hurt me, and then decide to willingly stay."
