"I-is it gone?"

"Long gone, crying shame."

Sonya's Klinic – Aste Slums

26th December 2048 – 11 00 hrs

*$#!@743*(&!@$# o93){}:3!

Sonya: HOH MAH @#*(% (*&@ #%^*(*@#%^

Sonya was absolutely drenched upon his return to the clinic, both of his hands were occupied by two black duffel bags. He flung both bags towards the corroded reception counter. Sonya rubs his hands together in delight and opens up both bags.

The bag on the left contained various white bottles of different shapes and sizes with colourful labels. The bag on the left contained enough camping supplies to survive a second apocalypse.

Quanta emerged from the corridor close by having regained her ability to walk. She was still in her gown and bare footed (Sonya could not afford rubber clogs). She rubbed her half-shut eyes, given that she was still asleep until the racket occurred.

Quanta: What is all of that noise for?

Sonya: KAH HA HA IT WAS ONE HELL OF A SHOPPING TRIP IT-

Quanta: STOP SHOUTING!

Sonya: OH, SORRY LASS!

Sonya: As I was saying, it was one hell of a shopping trip khe heh. Gotta put that cash to gooooood use.

Quanta: What the... it's all bleach!

Sonya: MMMMMMMMMMM lovely sodium hypochlorite~~

The girl had no words for him as she watched him do a silly dance while holding two bottles of pure white up in the air.

Sonya: Kah hah good thing it was raining since last week, the sleeper shops were still full stock.

Quanta: Since... last week?

Quanta was confused, and rightfully so. The longest recorded time of rain as of 2048 was only 3 days. Quanta thought back to the day she got massacred by the Behemoths (begrudgingly). That... was 5 days ago.

As Quanta was still deep in thought, there was a slight tremor. Not long after, the sound of two bottles dropping was heard. Quanta looked up and saw Sonya frozen in shock. When she glanced over his direction, she saw it too.

A hooded figure in pure black stood by the stairs leading to the entrance upstairs. It bore a mask with three glowing green canisters, hiding all facial features. On its back was a large, arced blade that towered over it. Dripping wet, the figure slowly walked around Quanta and Sonya, with both of them turning in tandem, keeping their eyes on him. The figure eventually reached the counter and leaned on it before crossing its arms in complete silence. For three seconds it was as if time had stopped, no one moved or made a noise. Eventually...

Sonya & Quanta: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Quanta: Wh-who are you?

It remained silent.

Sonya: Wh-wh-wh-when di-did you come—in?
