Extracted from the Height's Journal of Quanta Leyard- Page 4
Man this HAS to be the greatest thing to have happened in a looooooong while. I never would have dreamed of culling beside the High Height, Maiden of Snow! HA HA who would've known that she would even command the respect of Mariul. (Take that Fiver Stick!) Though, I don't get why Marcello was making a huge deal of going to cull the Alpha. She is a High for a reason.
Having said that, the Heights hierarchy (again named by The brainlet Fours) is separated into High, Middle and Low. (Wow creative~)
Low Heights are new blood. They just joined an Association of their choosing. Simple as.
Middles are well, like me, who have been culling for some time. To become a middle, a Low has to prove themselves in culling. They have to gain the approval of their Major, leaders of their respective associations. The Major would then submit their recommendations to The Four. Most of the time they will go through. Those with their own abilities usually immediately gain the approval of their Majors the moment they join the Associations.
Highs are the real established Heights who have made their mark in culling the beasts. They only can be assigned by The Equilateral themselves. They usually attain that title by simply culling enough beasts or just an Alpha for some. It could also be given to those off the field such as Majors or smithies who forged the culling tools of the Heights, like Fulgaria, a real famous High who forged Nova's beautiful halberd. (I could use an upgrade...)
Though there's a worrying thought, while Alphas are obviously lethal and requires multiple heights at once to cull, I haven't seen one that was actually able to alter the environment. I asked Mariul about it and he said "There art nil recorded instances o tis sort o occurrence." Absurd, he could have just said "nope". Dumbass Fiver.
When all of this is over, I'm gonna have a really hard time deciding whether to go back to my Association in Entswer or stay in branch 6 with Nova, if she would allow me to in the first place. She already likes me so, I might have a good chance! I'll show her what I'm capable of.
