WARNING: Violent crime scene

After Kenny had spent the rest of Saturday by himself in the living room, he had half-expected Leo to come over on Sunday. Even when Stan and Kyle eventually showed up and spent hours trying to keep him in good spirits, Kenny kept looking towards the door, waiting for a knock that he knew wouldn't come. He had made it clear to Butters that he didn't do anything wrong, yet it was like he was waiting for an invitation to come back over.

Stan and Kyle noticed him glancing at the door every now and then, not fully paying attention to the video game that they had been playing, Kenny just kept letting his friends kill him as he lazily fired back. It wasn't that he wanted to spend time with Leo more than them, but Kenny was starting to wonder if he should've been more clear in his communication to him. He wanted him there, he wanted him to be a part of something like this. Kenny didn't know how to tell him that.

They knew better than to push him since their last conversation, so Stan and Kyle did their best to ignore his obvious, distracted behavior. When the front door closed later into the night, Kenny jumped up at the speed of light, only to roll his eyes as Craig came into the living room with his usual unemotional face.

Craig could see the disappointment on his face. He decided to join them anyway, sitting at the end of the couch, where there was an empty space, without a word to any of them. Since they knew what had been going on between them, Stan and Kyle exchanged an awkward look, before handing a fourth controller to Craig. They wished that one of them would say something, at least.

Kenny hadn't really talked to Craig since Friday night though. He had stayed in the living room the entire day waiting for him to come back so that they could talk again, but Kenny felt like he was being avoided. Even at the meeting, after their vulnerable conversation, Craig had been quiet towards Kenny, although that wasn't too different from their usual friendship, to be fair. Since they picked up on all of this, for Kenny's sake, Stan and Kyle stayed for another hour or so, before going back to Stan's to let them figure their shit out.

After spending most of Saturday night thinking about his future plans in regards to Butters, Kenny stared at the arm of the couch where his fingers were fiddling with a loose string, hoping that if he continued, he could avoid acknowledging reality. Craig wasn't going to let him continue like this; after their conversation on Friday night ended with them hooking up again, he had expected Kenny to behave this way.

Grabbing his wrist away from his fidgeting, Craig pulled Kenny towards the back door, shoving his cigarette pack into his hand when they made it outside. It was frigid that night, both boys shaking in the dim porch light as they attempted to hold their cancer sticks still enough to raise to their mouths. It wasn't the best place to talk, but Kenny wasn't about to smoke in the house again - he was already in a bit of trouble with Karen because of how careless he had been lately.

Finally deciding that the nicotine wasn't worth it anymore, they went back to the warmth. Thanks to Kenny's absent-mindedness earlier, there was a whole pot of untouched, hot coffee waiting for them in the kitchen; he had originally made it so that he would be more focused on his guy night with Stan and Kyle, but he had forgotten about it almost immediately.

"So," Craig began after he received his cup of coffee, sitting down at the breakfast bar as he eyed his friend carefully. "You talked to Stan and Kyle, huh?"

Nearly choking on his coffee, Kenny snorted a little: "Oh, was it that obvious?" Craig shrugged in response, biting back a smirk. "Well, yeah I did.."

There was more silence as Craig wasn't sure he wanted to ask for details. They had come to an understanding recently, and he knew that Kenny didn't respond well to things he didn't really want to talk about. He had to admit though that it seemed like Kenny wanted to talk about it, so Craig sighed in defeat: "You gonna tell Butters how you feel?"
