Chapter fourteen

Avery's P.O.V

„Avery you're awake" James is by my side, tears staining his face.

„Am I really? This all seems really surreal right now and I'm pretty sure it's a dream"

„No this is reality" he laughs.

„Well what happened what did I miss? Why're you here anyway?"

„Avery you fell or got pushed off a cliff and you were in a coma for three days. That's why I'm here. I couldn't just stay in England knowing you're in so much pain"

„I-I what? I fell off of a cliff? How? I mean yeah I'm clumsy and stuff"

„Ally thinks Jake might've pushed you off" he mutters.

„Jake? He? No. No why would he?"

„Avery, you and Jake had some major problems in your relationship! I don't know what exactly happened you'd have to ask Ally for details but"

„Is she here? I mean Ally?" I interrupt him.

„Yeah she's outside. Do you want me to call her in?"

I nod. I really need to see her.

She comes walking in, a massive smile spreads across her face but there's still tears in her eyes.

„Avery! Oh my god. You scared the shit out of me! Never do that ever again, alright?"

She comes walking over to my side and sits in the chair James sat in just a minute ago.

„Hey Ally" I smile at her.

„Hey Avery"

„I'm sorry about all this" I say.

„You don't have to be sorry for anything" she says stroking my hair out of my face.

„What happened to me?" I ask.

„What do you mean?"

„James said I fell off of a cliff"

„Avery, Luke and I, we think that Jake might've-"

„Luke?" I interrupt her.

„Yeah, we think Jake might've pushed you off when you got into an argument. You know he's not able to control his anger"

„Who's Luke?"

I see Ally's face drop.

„What do you mean who's Luke? Luke, the guy you met at the party a few days ago"

„What party? Ally what are you talking about? We came back from Melbourne just a few days ago"

„Av no. We've been back from Melbourne for like 6 months"

There's a mix of fear and confusion in everyone's face.

Luckily James called a doctor and told him I'm awake.

„Good morning Miss Hunter. How are you feeling?" He asked as he stepped in.

„I don't know. I feel dizzy and I'm confused as to what happened and this all just seems very surreal" I answer.

„Okay we're gonna do a few checks on you and see what damages you're currently suffering from"

He took his equipment out and checked on my eyes, ears and mouth.

He checked if all my reflects are working.

Well on the parts of my body which aren't completely destroyed.
