"I'm in!" Anya crowed, dancing around with her chimera stuff animal clutched in her hands. "I'm in!"

"Yes," Akira grumbled for the third time that minute, "now please be quiet so I can finish the book!"

Anya grinned, continuing to leap around and ignoring Akira's desperate pleading.

When finally, their phone started ringing, Anya practically flew over to it, her face a mask of excitement and glee.

"Anya's in!" She crowed happily.

"We know!" Akira snapped, glowering at the word jumped in his book.

Loid walked calmly over although there was a small push in his step and quickly answered the caller. A moment later, confetti sprinkled the air and he smiled.

"You're both in!"

Akira rolled his eyes even though he was internally grinning ear to ear. "I was already."

"Yeah!" Anya pumped her fist, waving her stuffed animal in the air and turning around to beam at Akira.

With a smile like that, he couldn't resist returning it.

"You did it," he whispered, giving Anya a fist bump as she crawled onto the couch he was sitting on.

"We did it," she corrected, the cones on the sides of her head bobbing up and down in her enthusiasm.

Akira grinned.

Franky came over later that day and spoke to Loid in a low, hushed voice which their father returned. Yor was out working wherever she worked and Anya and Akira were sitting in front of the TV watching Bondman. Well, Anya was anyway. Akira was more focused on his book than anything else at that point.

"Go, go!" Anya said in a loud voice, leaning forward and nearly toppling into the TV.

"Careful," Loid called mildly.

Akira squinted at his sister who was now jumping up and down, "Its... a TV show."

"No!" Anya whipped her head around to glare at Akira. "You're stupid!"

"Excuse me?"

Franky bounded over to them, a wide grin spread across his face. He looked almost crazy.

"Hello," Akira greeted with a slight wave and a tilt of his head.

"Oi!" Franky agreed. "Hey, do you want anything for getting into Eden Academy!?"

Akira shrugged, "A new book-"

"PALACE!" Anya shouted, interrupting him quickly.

"A palace!" Franky agreed, turning his head to look at Loid and reminding Akira of an extremely hungry puppy who's owner had taken out some food to eat.

"What?" Akira protested, closing his book. "Do I get any saying in this?"

Anya turned to look at Loid as well, putting on her adorable face. "Pleeease?"

Loid rubbed his head, looking flustered. He glared at Franky. "Listen..."

"Come on, Loid!" Franky said. "It won't be that hard! You're practically the best spy in the world with all the tools you need right in your hands!"

"Well-"

"Please papa!" Anya pleaded.

Akira covered his face with his book and slid deeper into the couch with a groan.

"Fine," came Loid's reluctant voice.

"Dad..." Akira said slowly, removing the book from his face and tossing it at Anya who dodged it. "You really can't be going around offering Anya all that. A bag of peanuts will satisfy her enough."

Anya pouted, "Not true! Akira lies!"

"Do not!"

"You just did!"

Loid grimaced, "It's fine... I'll probably just get yelled at but if it's for the mi-" he broke off in a cough and exchanged a warning glance with Franky. "Don't worry. This'll be easy."

It was not. What a surprise. Akira wondered how much adult problems could be solved if they bothered to listen to kids.

Loid put on brownish hat-things with goggles onto their heads and loaded them into the plan he'd borrowed while Yor wandered around, a wine bottle clutched tightly between her hands, her face bright red and pinkish.

"She's drunk," Akira grunted.

"Yeah," Anya agreed loudly.

"Come on now," Loid pushed them into the backseats of the plane. "Don't talk about your mother like that."

Akira sighed. "'Kay."

The siblings climbed into the plane and Loid buckled them up, double checking to make sure there were no faults so they wouldn't topple out of their seats and fall to their deaths.

"Ready?" Loid asked with a smile.

"Ready!"
