"Good morning, Aurora," Jesslyn walks into my room and slightly opens the curtain. "How are you feeling?"
I rub my eyes and try to sit straight, "I feel okay, actually."
It's been almost a week since the accident, and my head is still pounding with all of the lost memories and the different information I've gotten from my friends and family.
"I am happy to hear that," Jesslyn walks over to me and quickly checks the IV. "And the headache?"
"Mostly just pounding due to the memories I lost."
The nurse nods and offers me a smile, "We see no reason for them not to return. Maybe not all of them, my advice is to take your rest strictly. I want to send you home tomorrow; can you stay at your parent's house?"
I nod, "Yeah, I believe so. They will visit me this evening after they're both off work."
"Perfect. I'll make sure the paperwork is done by then."
I thank Jesslyn and smile at myself. I finally get to go home and hopefully find a haven. Just as I want to grab the remote control, I hear a voice I had hoped not to listen to too soon.
What would I even tell her?
"Good morning, bestie!"
I return the smile she gives me, "Good morning, Valerie."
"Is something wrong?" She asks; she removes her coat and hangs it on the coat hanger on the wall.
"I know you lied about the burn scar," I say, and I focus on how Valerie's body reacts to my confession.
But nothing really changes in her demeanor. She slowly turns around, smiling at me, "I lied?"
I hear the disbelief in her tone, and I swallow nervously, "Lando didn't do that to me. It was an accident... Caitlin showed me the video."
Valerie sits down on the edge of my bed, "Oh silly me," She taps her forehead with her fingers. "Mostly silly you. Just because he did not create that one doesn't mean he did not abuse you."

Caitlin's words echo in my ears, and I shake my head, "Why are you lying?"
