As soon as I spilled the beans, Lizzie and Oliver both stood up from the table and their expressions turned from confusion to shock. "YOU DID WHAT?!" they yelled in unison, clearly unable to believe what they had just heard. "We mean you did what?" they whispered this time, as if not wanting to draw any attention to themselves.
Oliver, in the meantime, was trying to focus on his salad, but he couldn't help but chime in. "You know the chick is Sabrina Whitlock," he said with a mouthful of lettuce. My heart sank as I realized the gravity of the situation. "You're telling me this bitch is dating my brother? The Sabrina Whitlock?" I asked, feeling a mix of anger, disbelief, and confusion. The thought of my brother being with someone like Sabrina, who had a reputation for being manipulative and cold-hearted, was almost too much to bear. They nodded their heads, and as Cole sat at the table with a perplexed expression, he suddenly blurted out, "Hey, who's Sabrina Whitlock?" The rest of us couldn't help but chuckle at his question, but we quickly composed ourselves and turned our attention towards him.
I began to explain, "Sabrina is the epitome of a manipulative and malicious bully. Back in her sophomore year, she befriended a new girl named Amber, who had just moved to our town. At first, everything seemed to be going well, but then Sabrina started spreading vicious rumors about Amber being a thief. It got so bad that Sabrina even reported Amber to the police, who took her into custody. But here's the kicker: Amber was completely innocent!"
As I continued to elaborate, everyone at the table leaned in, eager to hear more about this shocking story. "It turns out that Sabrina had planted the stolen items in Amber's locker and then tipped off the authorities. Amber was completely unaware of the situation until the police showed up at her doorstep. She was devastated and spent the whole day in jail until the truth finally came out."
The room fell silent as we all absorbed the gravity of what had happened. It was a stark reminder of how cruel people could be, and how easily they could manipulate those around them.
"Oliver's voice dropped to a whisper as he leaned in closer to Cole. "You won't believe this, but I heard through the grapevine that Sabrina's father is a millionaire CEO of a major corporation." Cole's eyes widened in surprise. "And get this," Oliver continued, "she's been putting on this facade of innocence and sweetness in all her TV interviews, claiming to be a do-gooder who donates her daddy's money to charities and campaigns." Cole felt a pang of shock.
Cole's eyes widened as his curiosity got the better of him. "But what happened to Amber?" he asked, unable to contain his excitement.
In unison, everyone responded, "She moved to Australia."
Cole's jaw dropped in disbelief. "Wait, let me get this straight. You're telling me she moved across the world to escape from Sabrina?!" he whispered, his voice filled with shock and disbelief. We all nodded in agreement.
As I stood in front of him, I noticed a hint of disappointment in his voice. His tone was low and somber as if he had just received some bad news. He muttered, "Oh... wow... I just didn't expect it to be that much..." His eyes were fixed on the ground, and it seemed like he was lost in thought. It was strange to see him so upset about something, especially when he barely knew Sabrina personally, but I knew I had to find out what was going on.
After finishing my previous class, I headed towards my next class, which was Math. As I entered the classroom, I saw Mr. Anderson, our Math teacher, welcoming us with a bright smile. He had a distinct personality, which made him stand out among the other teachers. He was strict when it came to discipline, but at the same time, he had a great sense of humor, which made the class enjoyable. I liked his easy-going nature, which made it easier for me to ask questions and clear my doubts.
