Chapter 2 "On The Hunt"

Tony: ...no need to say anything, Spider-Boy. We already got your answer. Whether Rogers accept it or not, I want to give you a solution to your problem...if you're willing to take it into consideration

Captain America glances at him and gave a small nod to what Tony's about to say next. Peter swallowed and quickly shook his head.

Peter: O-okay...please tell me what to do next...I don't know what to do now...

He had his head bowed down as he tightly grabbed his knees with nails scratching the cloth of his costume, anxious of what they'll say. Peter have felt the discomfort from Captain America when he stepped in and Iron Man isn't one to take a kid like him seriously, after all the shit he caused the last few days.

Tony: You need to be better. The reason why you're at the level you're at, why you're so unsure of your reasoning for doing all of this, is because you're holding back

Both Peter and Captain America looks up to him with confusion plastered on their faces. Holding back? Holding what back?

Captain America: Tony, this isn't-

Tony: What we saw in your file is that you're raised by a single struggling woman, you're a teenager taking care of four other teenagers, a friend of yours is locked up in this helicarrier, you're struggling financially, and have a deceased uncle and parents...You're holding back your potential by sneaking around with these cases because of your distrust of Fury and SHIELD, also distrust in your own team. The amount of stress on your shoulders piled on you is making you hold back and confused of what you're fighting for

Holding back? How is he being held back when they're the reason why he's moving forward on handling Tombstone? They're his friends, his responsibility.

Tony: Let's go through a few examples.

Tony turned on the iPad and photos of outside sources of photos appeared before them. The photos were of his battle with the Equinox a year ago, photos of the first team up he had with Johnny against one of their villian of the week after they thought it would be fun to kidnap Johnny, they were just standing in front of a destroyed burning building with Johnny posing with a wink and pulling Peter in for the photo despite how unwilling he looked, it took place after the mission with Hector and after asking for a job at the Fantasic Four building...he nearly forgotten about that day of rescuing Johnny.

The other photos were of Peter fighting burglars, the day that Goblin attacked the helicarrier, his fights with Taskmaster, and even the night where the symbiote first appeared in Harry's house as well as Harry being taken into SHIELD custody from his trouble with the Goblin serum. Peter had to look away from the photos when Harry appeared.

Tony: From these photos, it's clear that you have potential. You have tackled a mutant, dealt with the Goblin and his son, handled a symbiote, and even rescued your Fantastic Four friend. Dealing with all of them during this past year is impressive, especially since you were alone for most of them

Peter looks back up and captured Captain America's cold expression, a vein was popping out of his knuckles from how tight he was gripping his fists on the table.

Tony: Serving time under Fury have slowed you down. You just need a push to the right direction than the direction Fury is trying to stir you towards. I want you to aim higher-
