Being snake aren't cool

"I have a twin. A twin.  Can you believe that??" Jess said as she walked back and forth inside their room as it's almost for the couple to sleep.

Bill didn't listen much to his wife as he was too focused on reading the letter from his late in-law. He is as much as confuse as the wife.

"Honey?" Jess call as she turned to her husband. She walked closer and pull the letter away from him "we're looking for them tomorrow" she said.

Bill was lost for a second by sudden pull and slowly he realised what she just said "how about the kids?" He asked.

Jess thought for a moment as she sat down on the bed next to him. Suddenly a bulb popped up on her head "we're bringing them too then." She said as she smiles.

"And what about our work?" Bill asked as he crossed his arms and grin at her because he knows his wife. She won't not go to work as that is her second home.

"I'll take leave. It's okay. There's plenty of annual leave that I haven't apply yet." She said confidently.

Bill just smiles and moves his hand to hold hers "anything that you decide, I'll follow along" he said as he gently rub his thumb against her hand.

"Thank you" she said as she moved forward and kissed her husband.

"Ughhh...kids~ we're home!" Carlos said as he dragged the luggages into the house.

Katie came downstairs and helped his father "quite late you guys arrived" she said as she pulled the luggage into her parent's room.

"We stopped for a toilet break at gas station and had supper after dinner." Carlos said as he laughed.

Nando looked around and noticed his mother weren't around "where's mum?" He asked.

Carlos looked around and noticed the same thing "just now she was here...how about in the kitchen?"

At the same time...

"Mum...are you okay?" Katie asked as she slowly entered her parent's room.

Allison wiped her tears and forced herself to smile a bit "y-yeah sweetheart. I'm okay" she said.

Katie knew something is not right. She slowly came closer to her mother and sit next to the woman "did something happened at abuela's ?" She asked.

Allison shook her head and hug her daughter to her side "no...I'm just sad...like i dunno why. Thank you for asking sweetie"she said as she rested her head on Katie's shoulder.

Katie smiles and hugged her mum back. Suddenly she thought of something and pushed her mother slightly away "mum...um..how do you know that dad's the one?" She asked.

The mother was quite surprised that her daughter would talk about love stuff with her "oh? This is so sudden. You have your eyes on someone? Come on tell me~" Allison said as she gets excited.

"Mum~ can you answer to my question first???" Katie said as she pouted.

Allison laughed and smiles "oh alright alright. It's like zap of connection. We mistakenly grabbed each other's order of coffees.He drinks mine and i got his. of course i was kinda annoyed that he drank mine, but at the same time I do find your father cute" the woman said as she slap slightly on her daughter's shoulder.

"Omg mum..." Katie cries but still listening to her mother.

"And we started going out ,living together , get married and have you" Allison said as she cares Katie's cheek "our first baby. And then Nando and then, Ellie." Allison said with a warm smile.

"Mum..." Katie said softly as smile creeps on her face.

"And without you, we wouldn't get to be best parents for you three. Now also aren't enough but just to let you know, we are trying. Raising the first one was a challenge and lesson for us to do better for the next. So Katie, if I and your dad ever make you feel less , please forgive us." Allison said as she looks at her daughter.

Katie couldn't say anything and just jumped then hug her mother tightly "you're doing well mum...thank you for raising and loving me ,Nando and Ellie" the daughter said as she hugs tighter and close her eyes.

Knock knock

"Hey hey~ another room for us three??" Carlos said as he stood at the doorframe with Nando and Ellie by his sides.

"Group hug!" Ellie yelled.

"GROUP HUGGGG" Carlos screamed as he ran towards his wife and daughter dragging his son and the youngest one with him.

They all , one family jumped on each other and hugged tightly. Everyone was laughing and embraced the moment together.

Katie laughed and out of the blue she thought for a moment 'would it be okay if I tell mum about it? Will she be freaked out?' She said to herself.

The young woman shook her head as she brushed off that idea from her mind. She couldn't imagine what would happen if she tells her mother about it?

But which?

About her falling in love with a girl?

About the woman who looks like her mother?

Or the fact that she might have a taboo feelings for that girl might be incestuous.

All these three things might got her mother into cardiac arrest. At least that she could think at the moment.

'Ughhh...it will be easier if we're not related at all! Why do you have to hate me so much dear God?' She said in her mind.

She heard someone talking but she's too busy being mad in her own mad.

"Mum, did Katie told you that you have a doppelgänger, possibly might be your twin?" Nando asked.

"My what?!" Allison yelled.

"Also she's in love with the footballer from the last game" he added.

Katie snapped back into the earth and all she see was her mother's freak out face with the eyes directly looking at her then she look at her brother 'Nando you freaking snake!' She cries in her mind.

"Katerina Torres. Is that true?" Allison asked with stern in her voice.

"I-I.." Katie stuttered.
