Geez..kids nowadays..

It's training session for the next game. Every Lucy Jones Unicorns players are getting ready for it.

"All right girls! Keep on grinding! We're going to beat them like mashed potatoes!" Yelled Coach Kim as she clapped her hands hyping up her players.

'It's been a week!' CC thought as she kicked the ball towards the goal. Unfortunately the goalkeeper got it and roll it back towards her.

She stepped at the ball and thought 'why is it so hard for her to reply!?' As she kicked the ball hard causing more impact for the goalkeeper to handle and fall behind.

Coach Kim saw it and blew her whistle out "hey!" She quickly ran with the medic staff. She knelt down at her goalkeeper and check on her "you good?" She asked.

The goalkeeper nodded at her. The coach then turned towards CC "my office. Now." She said as she walked away and told the medic staff to give the goalkeeper treatment.

Coach Kim tapped her fingers slowly on her desk as she look at her favourite player. It's have been 10 whole minutes that they've been silent.

The coach rested her chin with her hands as she put on the table "do you have problems, Ms.Walker?" She asked.

"N-No..c-coach.." CC answered as she look down on her knees.

Coach Kim clicked her tongue with her teeth slowly and rest her back against the chair "I see.. then..do you have a problem? Please don't say nothing 'coz I could see right into your eyes that you do have one" she asked again.

"Please coach..there's nothing going on or happening. Everything's fine. I was just distracted with my thoughts" CC said and praying her coach would buy it.

The coach sighed softly "alright then...I won't push you to say it. But i don't want this to happen again. Those girls are your teammates not your punchbag. Do you understand?" She said sternly.

"I understood." CC said as she apologised and left the office. As she opened the door, she was surprised to see Ava who's already in front of the door.

"Oh h-hey" Ava said as she rubs the back of her neck awkwardly.

"Hey Ava..." CC said as she walked away towards the locker room.

Her bestie followed her and stopped her for a moment "CC WAIT-" she said as she grabbed the blonde's wrist.

CC snatched her hand off and rubs the pain away "what do you want?" She asked.

"Wow...ever since you fell for your cousin , you making everyone is your enemie-"

"I did not making anyone my enemy" CC cuts Ava as she opened her locker.

"Oh really? Then how about the plans we made? Like our weekly hangout? Discord night?? Where were you???" Ava asked.

CC slammed close her locker's door and look angrily at Ava "cut me some slack Ava. I'm not your gf or anything. Stop getting mad at me like one" CC said.

"Omg you're so dumb!" Ava said as she approached the girl.

"Wha- mmph?!" CC was surprised as Ava kissed her on the lips. The girl cupped her face closer and deepen the kiss.

With all energy she had, CC pushed her away and wiped her mouth "What the fuck ,Ava?!" She yelled.

"You know and you fucking know it that your feelings for that girl aren't going anywhere and it's just going to torture you. Look at me CC! I'm the one you could be and give your heart with" Ava said as she started to choke on her tears as she sat down on the bench.

CC felt bad and agreed to all Ava just said. This feeling is pure but it's poisonous,literally eating her inside how. She slowly sat herself next to the crying girl and pat Ava's back.

"Hey...don't cry...I'm sorry...but I can't look at you that way...I genuinely need you as just a friend,close friend, my bestie" she said as she grabbed Ava's hand.

Ava pushed her away and cry even more "it took me years! to conceal this feelings from you because I don't want you to see me as a freak and ruin our friendship. And when you told me it does make me sad and happy because you fell for another girl but also if she dumps you, I could express this feelings for you. You're not being fair ,CC" Ava said as she rans.

"AVA!" CC yelled but the girl ran and slowly vanished from her sight. She kicked the locker out of frustration and grabbed her stuff from the locker then go home.

It's dinner time,CC hasn't touch a bit of her food. She keeps playing the peas with the fork and stare at it blankly. She ignored the others with earphones stuck in her ears.

Bill and Jess stared at each others then the mother look at Wyatt. The son sighed and put his utensils down "hey the ones that have problems is her, not me. So ask her" he said then continued eating.

Bill grabbed the left earphone from CC's ear and put it down. CC wasn't amused and crossed her arms "what is it ,dad?" She asked.

"Are you-" before he could finish, the daughter cuts him off.

"Are you okay? Is there any problem? What's wrong? Did something happened? Yadayadayada! Please ! I'm so sick answering to that questions over and over again today" CC said all of her frustrations as she slammed her hand on the table.

The whole members at the table were totally shock with the response she showed. Nobody ever expected that, especially her own parents.

"H-honey...if something didn't go well as we planned , maybe God have other better plan for us. Right ,Bill??" Jess said.

Bill nodded furiously and smiles widely "t-true. Besides not everything we must ruin when one doesn't turn out well" he said.

"Ugh! You guys won't understand it because you both aren't cousins! " she left as she got back to her room. Leaving the food uneaten.

"I mean back then I used to have crush on my cousin,Jeremy but not this hard. Geez...kids nowadays.." Jess said as she shook her head in disbelief.
