What is normal?

"We're home.." Katie said as she opened the door for her and her brother. Both of them are soaking wet from the rain when they're on their way walking home.

Allison put the plates that she's about to arrange for dinner later on the table and ran to her room and grabbed extra towels.

"Where are your umbrellas? Oh dear..." the mum said as she ran back with the towels and give to them.

"I forgot to bring/left mine at school" Katie and Nando said at the same time.

Allison sighed and smiles weakly "okay..clean yourself up. I'll make hot soup for you both" she said.

"Mummy! Can i have it too??" Ellie said as she walked to her mother.

Allison bend down and pats her youngest daughter head slowly "sure my dear" she said.

Clicked.

The sound of the door being opened, she turned and welcome her husband "I thought you said you'll be late" she said as she takes off the coats from him.

"I did but the meeting is cancelled last minute. Are the kids home yet?" Carlos asked.

Allison nodded "yeah. They caught in the rain. I'm making hot soup for them, you want too?" She offered.

"Yes~Please~! But give me a kiss first Mrs.Torres" he said as he locked her in his arms.

"Carlos! Stop it~" Allison said as she laughed.

Katie gets down and stared at her parents for a second. The adults quickly get off each other and look at their daughter "y-yes Katie? What's wrong?" Carlos asked.

"Sorry for just barging in...but mum could you come at me for a second?" Katie said as she blushed because it's not something she would want to say in front of her dad.

The couple look at one another and Allison walked to her daughter "what's wrong mija?" She asked.

Katie moved herself closer to her mother's ear and whispered "do you have extra pads? I don't care what kind...mine's finished"

Allison chuckles at her daughter "in my second dresser. It's quite big for you." She said as she walked to the kitchen.

"Omg mum!" Katie said as she ran upstairs.

Carlos look at them dumbfounded "what does she want that you need to tease her like that?" He asked.

"You need to bring her to the store for her monthly needs" she said as she chuckled and prepared for the dinner.

Carlos squinted his eyes as if trying to figure out what does his wife meant by that "monthly needs?? ..OH!" He raised his voice as he figures it.

At the same time....

"Ugh...where is it?" She said as she diver into the dresser looking for the pads. She even opened every dressers even though her mum only mentioned the second one.

"MUM!!!! I can't seem to find it! Are you sure it's in second dresser???" She yelled hoping the mother would heard her.

"Katie for God's sake! It's in second dresser like I told you!" Allison yelled back.

Katie rolled her eyes and look for it again and yes she found it "yes!" She celebrated and took few and some tampons from there. As she's about to get up she dropped one tampon and it rolled down under the dresser.

Angrily she sighed and lie down and try to reach it "damn it why did it have to roll that far down?" She said as she  stretched her arm out.

Suddenly her hand hit on something hard and that surprised her. She turned to look at it and saw a small box pushed down under the dresser.

She is curious and wanting to grab that box than the tampon. She try to reach it but failed.

"Katie did you find it?"

THUD!

That startled the girl and hit her head on the dresser "ow-" she cried in pain.

"Oh my God! Are you okay??" Allison asked concernedly.

Katie nodded and try to brush away the pain with slowly breath in and out "I'm fine I'm fine. Just a small one" she said.

"Small one???! That's a loud thud I've ever heard. And what are you doing lying down like that on the floor??" Allison asked.

Katie thinks it's the best that to not let her mum know what she's trying to reach. She just told the half truth "I'm reaching for the tampon...it rolled down under your dresser".

Allison sighed and get down on the floor still looking at her daughter then reach out the tampon "here. Now go and change yourself clean. Dinner's getting ready soon" the woman said and left the room.

Katie just stared under the dresser for a moment before leaving the room then close the door again.

Carlos enjoys his dinner to the fullest as he wash it down with the wine "ahh~ this is good. A nice dinner with my family" he said.

"Cliche..dad" Katie said.

Nando put his for down and look at his father "Dad. Can you drive me to Walker's this weekend ? Wyatt said he's working on a science project and he needs my help" he said.

"Yeah sure science-bud!" Carlos said as he chuckled.

Everything's get so quiet because the first time they acknowledged Walker's existence is when the daughters from two families falling for each others.

Carlos look at her daughter who seems disturbed by something "H-How about you Katie? Did you and CC plan for a hangout or OW-!" His ankle were kicked by Allison under the table.

"You remember what we told you right?" Allison asked the daughter as she stared.

"For hundreds of times, yes I do remember it." Katie said coldly.

Allison sips on her wind and put down the glass gently "good. Then you're going with Nando. Just hangout like normal cousins would do" she said.

Katie pissed by what her mum just said "am I not normal?" She said as raised her voice.

"K-Katie..calm down" Carlos said as he tried to handle the situation.
