33. Sunday Morning - pt. 1

Sunday Oct 3rd 10AM

Three Days Later ...

Michael's POV

After two busy full days of meetings and team building workshops; Michael allowed his body to rest and sleep in as long as it could until he was finally greeted by the Boston sun when his blackout shades automatically opened up.

"Go away..." Michael had mumbled to himself while pulling the blanket over his head, tossing and turning until he got comfortable again and slowly started to drift off back to sleep.

About 45 minutes later Michael was woken up again but this time it was by his phone thinking it was his alarm, Michael had turned around to snooze it until he realized it was an on coming call. Still waking up and needing some help for his eyes to adjust to the brightness of the sun, Michael reached over for his glasses and put them on. Once his glasses were on he was able to see, annoyed he looked at his phone to see who was calling him then a wave of relief washed over him once he realized it was Lisa who was calling him.

Smiling to himself, Michael answered the FaceTime then smiled brightly when he saw Lisa on the screen sitting at her vanity doing her morning routine.

"Good morning princess..." Michael had told her in a raspy tone.

"Well good morning to you too sleepy head." Lisa had giggled at him while putting down her brow pencil and giving Michael her full attention.

Michael lightly laughed then asked, "where are you headed to?"

"Well I'm trying to take my health a little bit more seriously, so your sister and I are going to check out the trainer that Trixie uses."

Michael just looked at her and giggled because he questioned why she would be putting on makeup if she was just gonna sweat it off and without realizing it he was caught.

"What's so funny Mike?" Lisa had asked with a little attitude while smirking at him.

"Nothing" Michael had giggled some more. "Anyways, how's everything going? How's the kids?"

"Mhm and everything is okay. Janet and I are going to look through your notes tonight before finalizing the changes and turning them into my dad's estate."

"So you took my notes into serious consideration?" Michael asked.

"I did, why are you so surprised?" Lisa asked while smirking at Michael.

Before speaking Michael had slightly smiled at Lisa then readjusted himself in the bed then told her, "well I guess the reason why I'm so surprised is because you don't really listen to anyone from what we talked about and the last couple of conversations we had you did question what I was saying at times."

Lisa listened to him and took in what he said while going back to getting ready, once she was done she once again gave him her full attention and told him. "True, but so far you haven't done anything to me to question your trust... Also Mike you are trusting me to babysit Prince and to help out and I know that's a big deal for you; just kind of like how my fathers estate is. Also how I am going to gain any sense of independence if I don't start making my own decisions. It's not like I fully used your suggestions, but with Janet's help and google I had a guide to make decisions that I think are right. If that makes any sense..."

"It makes sense and I'm glad I'm here to help. I mean let's be honest here I am still your professor, so it's my job to mentor you and make sure you're learning the ins and outs of the industry." Michael had told while smirking at the last part of his statement.
